The future of Kpop

Disappointed with the lack of mentions of Girl's Generation, they were my favorite KPOP band back in the day, ah those were the days. Around the time I wasn't anymore I heard of the heartbreaking news that Jessica (One of my favorites <333) was leaving the group. I heard she is now doing solo songs, but I'm really going to miss SNSD9.

It seems obviously by judging this comment section I seem to be the only one....

She is, she has her own company "Blanc and E'Claire" (Hope I spelt that correctly) and now does songs on her own which I find are really nice. Her voice is so smooth and soft, yet despite that softness it also has a lot of impact and power in it, singing is truly something she was born to do. Her leave from the group and record company had a lot of controversy with different stories/theories surrounding it, but never the less she's an amazing woman and I have no doubt she can survive without the 'SNSD tag' with her.

''$?$59?-?-69rz6rz6zrxuxt7 I'll be so sad when any of the groups I like disband ;;; (And even the whole military service thing T-T I know they'll be at least one BTS member missing for 8 years, and EXO will be going at around the same time as them whyy )
I've only recently become more multifandom, so I now I have even more groups to be worried about >.> hnn

But like, k-pop isn't going to die just because a few groups have broken up lmao... ;; phew we got a while left fam

I feel like with groups like BTS, Twice, BLACKPINK and many more, Kpop wont be going anywhere anytime soon. Especially with BTS. I mean, BIGBANG was nominated for the kids choice awards (lol) so I think it's a good sign that it's still pretty prevalent worldwide :)
My heart broke when I heard about 4minute disbanding. I absolutely adore Hyuna so i'm glad she's doing solo at least.

As long as SNSD and BTS are around, Kpop will live on strong

Kpop will be around for as long as the government continues to inject money into it. I'm not into kpop and am not supportive of how unethical the treatment of idols are; with the rise in the number of suicides and people speaking out about their experiences. I hope more laws will be put in place to protect them from a system that finds them exploitable and replacable. there are very few acts that make it onto the world stage and on the international level, even though kpop is more popular now than it ever has been.

If there was a working system that helps and protects them with/from workplace harrassment/bullying, mental health, dieting, fandom harrassment...etc, it'd be more sustainable.

For a consumer, there's plenty of content and there's nothing wrong with that.
I hope that the industry improves with the influx of international $$$.
