I'm here to talk about the month of November again. Last time, I brought up how November was very late in the year. Now I'm here to talk about what November would belong to. The thing here is that the month is ambiguous based on what theme it belongs under.
The question is, do you think November is part of the spirit of fall, or is it a Christmas month?
Here is the answer. November is technically both, but Thanskgivings (or Thanksgiving whatever you call it) is the main holiday of November. Christmas is late in December. Why would people start decorating for Christmas once Halloween is over? It's like they are skipping Thanksgivings. Regardless, I like seeing the Christmas decroations or hype in November.
Fall month:
Just like how Arizona and New Mexico are the core states of the Southwestern United States, the carousel and ferris wheel are the core rides to a fairground, and Math and English are the core subjects in academics, October and November are the core months of the fall. September may be the month the fall hype begins, but October and November are the more important months of the fall.
October is the month that's more like the fall. We got harvests, scarecrows, pumpkins, hay, wheat, and apples. And Halloween happens in October.
Once Halloween is over, November comes. Apples, pumpkins, scarecrows, wheat, hay, and harvests are still on-topic, even after Halloween has passed. And the trees continue changing colors to a more pretty fall color, then gets uglier. Yep, November is still a fall month, even when Halloween is over, but the fall stuff will become irrelevant (or almost irrelevant) once Thanksgivings is over, not Halloween.
Christmas month:
While some people still have their Halloween decorations out once Halloween ends, a couple of houses and commercial services start decorating for Christmas, even when Thanksgivings is still coming. Granted, Thanksgivings is a fall holiday, just like Halloween. But it's more related to Christmas than Halloween, and it's not even related to the cooler weather or the Christmas decorations that come on before or after Thanksgivings. It involves family gathering, traditional feasts, vacations, gratitude, and celebration. New Year's is another highly related holiday to Christmas, but that's because Christmas is a few days before New Year's.
Also notice that it's more than just the Christmas decorations that come up. On the radio, you will be hearing more Christmas songs, ranging from classic Christmas carols like Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer to Christmas songs that come from another movie or were composed just for an album. It's like people are ready for Christmas, even when it's not Thanksgivings.
But once Thanksgivings is over, you are safe to decorate for Christmas, and you don't need to feel sorry, even in November. So just like how it's a fall month, it's also a Christmas month. You can sing Christmas songs, talk about Santa Claus, decorate for Christmas, and watch Christmas movies, and still be on-topic, but as long as it's after Halloween.
It's also worth mentioning that while November is like October, if the year was broken up into six groups of two months each, November would be paired up with December, just like how Arizona and California are related to each other, a carousel and tea cups ride are similar, and how Math and Science are similar.

Other interesting mentions:
- In the GameCube Version of Animal Crossing, November is the only month when it can rain and snow in the same month.
- In New Leaf, the first part of November just looks like October, but the last part looks like early December.
- After Halloween is Day of the Dead, which has some similar decorations (mostly skulls). That is observed in November. After Thanksgivings is Black Friday, the beginning of the shopping season that leads to Christmas.
- November is in the fourth quarter of the year, which also has October and December.
- If Thanksgivings is as early as November 23rd or November 22nd (which will happen in the next two years), you have more time to decorate for Christmas after Thanksgivings.
- When March 1st is a Saturday, Christmas is on the fourth Thursday of December. Thanksgivings is always the fourth Thursday of November.
- When March 1st is a Monday, Thanksgivings is the 25th of November. Christmas is always the 25th of December.
