Well, first of all, there's the discounts and the prizes differ per rank, you also get a sense of achievement if you afford a rank no one else can afford, such as Supreme VIP's, Supreme VIP's get everything free in my shop (That's why Supreme VIP is 10,000 TBT Bells)
