The new villagers HAVE to have a higher chance of appearing right?

I'm inclined to believe this is just a coincidence for now. Maybe a datamine will either prove or disprove it at some point.

I did run into a some of them today, but it was only 4 out of 50-60 trips. I saw old villagers multiple times on the same hunt (which still feels like it happens more frequently than it should). I saw a lot of cows today and no squirrels. I saw three rabbits but not Sasha. It felt random to me.

Some people are unfortunately unaware that forums like this one exist. They would resort to using sites like Nookazon. Amiibo packs have also been hard to get hands on.

That site is no longer friendly. If you ask me its really gotten so much worse. I would just rather find the villagers than use that site. Even though there are people on there who are trustworthy I don't see myself going through that again. Trading spoiled me last year so I am just going to not do that this time with the 2.0 update.

Yes, in less than 65 tickets I found 6 of the new villagers. I did not ask them to my island because of course it wasn't the ones I wanted. The odds are definitely in the hunter's favor.

This is exactly what I was thinking. But if that's not the case, that's excellent! I kinda maybe want Sasha lol. He's warmed up to me.

After Nookazon I don't see this bouncing back anytime soon. People were obsessed with Raymond last year and I think after all the scandals of people getting scammed nobody is going to even think of trying to get them from trading sites.

It's probably my bad luck but I honestly didn't notice the rate-up (if there is any) I did 120-ish trips and only found 5 of them, 6 if you include me running into Zoe twice lol.

I went villager searching a couple days ago to find Stu or Monty. Within eight tickets, I ran into Cephalobot. Since he's an octopus villager, I invited him. Unless they add Inkwell, I have all the octopus villagers.

During my hunt, I ran into Audie and Judy. I already have Raymond and Sherb on my island while hunting, so they wouldn't have appeared.

I’ve noticed more people online have encounter the new villagers (like Sherb, the cat which I forget its name, etc). But it could be coincidental lol

I haven't run into any of the update villagers yet so...i wouldn't think so. I'm going to keep at Mystery Island hunting and see if I have better luck.

I used 146 NMTs on my second island that I started a few days ago and only saw Cephalobot and Quinn on my trips, talk about rotten luck I'll just use homemade amiibos from now on, I think.

From what I saw so far around the internet, lots of people found at least one of the new villagers very quick, either on their campsite or within a few NMT. But I guess it's still pure luck whenever you find one of them. Someone on YouTube for example spend over 250 NMT till they finally found Ione.

Just when you think people didn't suffer enough with the whole Raymond situation back in 2020, we now have in 2021 not one but two villagers who are about to start this madness again. I mean, Shino and Sasha are not bad, but neither of them are those amounts of bells and NMT worth. Not to mention that it's maybe cheaper to find them on your own via island hopping.

I used about 280 NMT over the course of 3 days and I ran into many of the new villagers. Just not Sasha, Tiansheng, Chabwick, Rio, Frett or Azaela

I found Ione after only 17 tickets. So it does seem to me the chances are a bit higher to find the new villagers. Also, out of the 8 that were originally new to NH, I only saw Megan.
