The Peanut Butter Conundrum

For a long time I didn’t eat breakfast, but for the past few months I’ve been eating toast for breakfast, and I like peanut butter on it. 😊 I usually buy crunchy peanut butter, but recently I got smooth, and I might like it better!
I don't have breakfast every morning either although I probably should ;)

Peanut butter on toast is my go to breakfast meal.

Smooth is better than crunchy for me :)

I don’t like Peanut butter. I do like Marmite thought :)
Never tried marmite, I've heard it's an acquired taste. You either like it or you hate it, no in between :ROFLMAO:

I tried peanut butter when I was younger and disliked it. A few ago I fancied trying it again, and it's still not for me.
Give it a third chance :ROFLMAO:

Love the stuff! Preferably smooth and creamy! 🤤🥜💞 admittedly I haven't had it in a really long time (like years lol) but as a kid one of my favorite things to eat was Smuckers brand PB&J (the jar that had both peanut butter and grape jelly mixed in it) sandwiches, but I hear that peanut butter goes super well with banana slices!

The way I get my peanut butter fix now is by Reese's cups, Reese's pieces, M&Ms and the occasional Little Debbie Nutty Bars, but whereas I used to go crazy with chocolate/peanut butter candy I've now cut back significantly from it.

Smooth is the way to go! I've been eating since for as long as I can remember!

I haven't heard of those brands, assuming they're American? Reese's we have over here in England - I love them :)

It didn't even cross my mind that some countries may have never even seen this adorable jar and artwork! This is the brand I was crazy about as a kid! 🥰🥜🍇💞 it even says "America's favorite!" so it must be all American indeed lol now I'm curious about what brands are common in other places around the world! If there's one thing I love learning about it's cultural differences!

These are the two brands that are the most popular over here - I prefer Sun-Pat to Skippy :ROFLMAO:

I like the creamy peanut butter. I'll eat it on waffles or toast. Sometimes I'll make pb & j sandwiches.

The only time I've had someone say pb smells, was when I ate alot of it as a tiny kid and my aunt would say I smelled like a peanut and she hated it. I don't really think of pb being a stinky food, but I guess if you don't like it, or your not around it alot, then I suppose it could be.
Almost everyone I know sees pb as a normal food and like it. And there is a ton of things here that has pb in it.

I suppose in America it's more common for people to like it compared to the UK.

I guess you're right! Maybe I'm just so used to it, I've become accustomed to the smell. I think it smells and tastes amazing

Your aunt said you smelled like a peanut hahaha :ROFLMAO:

It's my main source of protein, so I try to include it into a lot of things I eat. So much so I get a little sick of it at times, but it's nice overall.
It definitely does have a distinct smell.

I could eat it all day every day :)

I suppose it does have a unique smell haha

I like peanut butter! I don't eat it often, and usually it's via my favorite candy, Reese's peanut butter cups. I'd love to make my own peanut butter cups some time
The amount of people on here that have mentioned Reese's just shows how nice they are

I love peanut butter flavoured chocolate :)

I do like Nutella, if that counts. I’m planning on taking some of these next time I travel. It’s been a favorite snack of mine. The pretzels are indeed superior to the breadsticks, though.

I don't have it much now, but it is a comfort food. We ate a lot of it growing up because it was economical.

I do still make a sandwich when I'm feeling nostalgic, one of 3 Mom would make for us - with strawberry preserves, fluff, or honey (that was more grown up and something of a treat).

Grilled fluffernutter sandwiches are really good on cold, wet days.
