jacob's read on annika made me think of wolf!jacob using his confident meta to justify a townread on annika. like using it as a crutch bc it's his strongest townread
and i thought that annika response to him sorta looked like buddies. but it's mostly vibes
I am going to preface this by saying that I am going to learn from the mistake of taking notes when I know I have very little time so I will spend the night phase purely reading and keeping my notes mental.
This list should be taken with the grain of salt that it's indeed in the dark about almost everything outside of votes and that Tessa was king and killed a PR.
Ness - I mostly have two posts that stand out for me. I simply liked 155 because it's showing anxiousness in giving an uncertain player the power to kill to test them because like...why would you want to risk not getting off to a good start and flipping a red after N1? Curious as to why he dislikes Oath so much because essentially he was also anti towndeath with his own stance earlier on so I look forward to reading on about it. And 160? I just had a lot of mindmelding with the post overall especially in regards to the way Tessa was interacting with Shiny in an 'unnecessary' way which is what I was trying to say earlier about filler vibes.
Arstotzkan - Post 115 feels pro town in regards to not putting too much stock in day 1, which I partially agree with at least in something like kingmaker. There are ways to make day 1 something worth putting stock in but the paranoia about mafia being able to use it for manipulation feels like something a paranoid town would say. I forgot to pit some of the other posts down but they gave me a vibe of inquisition and wanting to scrap with other players and in general had an agreeable kingmaker mindset.
Dan - The biggest thing I hope to see more from him is feeling less...robotic? Out of everyone here he shares towncore philosophy the most with me and the answers and posts he makes feel like the posts I would have made so he feels towny enough for now but I just disagree with the use of king to reaction test a player because that's so easy to hide in as reasoning for letting a potential partner getting away with murder. I need to read more.
Light townlean that's mostly based around tone and approach in regards to who to king and that king shouldn't kill:
Tom - Wants no kill. Okay. Don't agree but I liked that he took the more unique approach and it comes from an illogical (no offense) place based on meta that "veteran players who are out for blood immediately get yeeted day 1" he mentioned. I like people not posting overly rational especially day 1 as long as it's not the entire player list doing it if just for tone. Has a bit more inquisition than some others and it didn't come across as fake and that's generally a good sign.
Oath
Gun to head ultralight townlean based purely on their entry post:
Annika- Entered in post 150 to agree with consensus king kills being their preferred approach but admits to not knowing the setup well. Fairly null even with a gun to my own head but I appreciate people coming in with honesty about their experience and that they gave tonal reads on Tom and Tessa since tone is most of what you can initially go off.
Gun to head light wolfread based on only reading one of their posts:
Ribbot - Up to 160 just had one post about seeking a king who will kill for the sake of information. Yes, I share this stance, but don't like this by itself and lacking in inquiry or town/wolf hunting is never a good thing in my book even if they are new. I say this because it was a little earlier in these 160 posts.
Gun to head light wolflean based on being a bit fluffy and having blue blood on their hands:
Tessa - What I mentioned above in Ness' section in regards to Shiny handling and post 115 was kind of wolfy post in my eyes because I can't figure out what info she was hoping to gain from asking Shiny about the decoy post. Also post 144...why does chaos produce better info for you vs organized PoEing in your experience?
Null for now:
Gabby - One post saying hi basically. Hello!
Ender - Literally haven't seen any of their posts but it appears as if they replaced?
Jacob - hope to catch up on the context/explanation for the vote switch
This felt like a waste of time rather than just shutting up and reading but I want to see if anyone builds off of these reads of how people entered the game vs what they have done since and where they are now.
I am going to just speedread through the rest of the posts so I am contributing up to date and post a readslist for King to PoE from in the last few minutes. Don't @ me lol.
*insert pic of the stick figure smashing his face on the wall. You know the one*

Forgot to complete Oath section but to put it simply he was anti town death at least up to 160.
Your vote is not a policy chop to generate content.
Your vote is because I think you could be mafia and if you are town you're in a spot that will be easy pickings for wolves to push later.
I have been very open that if you provide reads and interactions that don't start with "Defending yourself" I will be open to possibly re-evaluating the position your slot occupies this game. But then you choose to snipe back about that.

If either is a wolf imo it's Jacob. The weird confident read pushing did feel iffy. And yes I know I did hard townread him earlier but of the two I think it leans that way more but neither should die yet
I'm a cold *******. Appeals to Emotion get thrown around by both mafia and town and reading into it beyond "They are frustrated" doesn't help.
Also either alignment could be frustrated here, it's up to whether you can parse "Town frustrated at being pushed for what they perceive to be bad reasons" vs "Wolf frustrated because they don't know how to not be called a wolf."

one thought that came to mind from reading geoni and that ender also talked abt is that trent sounded very natural d1 and wasn't stuck on his no-vote gimmick (what i said i agreed somewhere) but with his lackluster d2 makes me want to revaluate this point. meaning his inactivity is tied to the fact he doesnt have a gimmick anymore. ofc he said he was busy. also i think hes a better player than this. but yk. thinking

also i think tessa window for explaining herself expired. time to dissect the slot

the reason I said I didn't town read Trent anymore was because today he has done very little to push anyone or try to move the game in any sort of direction. He has this odd fixation on Chris's read that 1 of Ness, Trent and Me are mafia. Even though there were more people active start of day and that's so long ago. And despite his fixation of me or Ness being maf, he has done very little to explore that thought process for himself or others. He says he just has a general gut distrust in me, but has never pushed me further than that.
I mean out of the three of us, I still think someone in the group is bound to be mafia. Flimsy reasoning maybe, but I do agree that someone "strong" is bound to have swooped in.
I don't think Dan has said anything wrong but like something rubs me wrong and I can't figure out what. Maybe I'll sleep and think on it.
Not sure what you were expecting, it's most been the same five people posting and night didn't yield anything spectacular other apparently I can miss a soft. Kat's probably getting modkilled, Geoni is probably getting modkilled, Tessa is/was traveling + sick????, Ribbit, Annika and Jacob's posts dont spectacularly standout to me either but that said I'm going to try to reread them during my two breaks at work or skim fast during the last hour and some change I'll have tonight before the thread closes.
I will say I don't think Dan should be voted king, but that's all guts
He also says he isn't active today because 3 slots are inactive (Geoni at the time, Tessa and arostotzkan), but (a) those two being inactive shouldn't stop him from engaging and reading the rest of the player base and (b) those two slots shouldn't have anything to do with solving Ness or me. I would think he would make more of an attempt to solidify his read on me, but it hasn't gone anywhere. I don't see a drive to solve people's alignments at all. He says there's nothing to go off on bc 3 people of 12 alive players are inactive which I think is weak
Tessa has very little info for today but what I've been waiting for was the expiation on why she chose to kill Chris out of the other options she picked. I don't think anyone had asked her that at the time. I think she's town based on the EOD still.
Checking in during my break, just to say @Geoni better vote before they leave again otherwise they're wall posting for no reason
Also you know what vote for me, I want to kill Dan. I think that would actually be the most useful going into Day 3 given Dan's interacted with just about everyone

you can literally copy paste that exact thing and replace "wolf!jacob" with "town!jacob" and it makes sense
town!jacob using his confident meta to justify a townread on annika. like using it as a crutch bc it's his strongest townread
this isn't even an accusation you're just narrating what he did and adding wolf! to his name
Im gonna be real, I don't remember how you play this game since our last game together was ages ago at best I assume. As for why I'm siding with Ness for a "weak" case, you're not really helping game solve?
Anyways am I to assume that Ender or I am the only folks you want on the chop block?
