The "relocate" option

Wow, that's great news! This is probably one of the greatest new features to be announced for New Horizons yet. I hope you can relocate animal villager's homes and other buildings, too - that would save so much time and headache from using the plot reset trick. I can't describe how much of a pain it is trying to get villagers to move in a certain area only for them to move elsewhere, destroying flowers, trees bushes or blocking areas. And sometimes, as you landscape your town, you might change your initial layout plans and go another direction. With this new feature, it'll make decorating your town a whole lot easier. Best thing to happen since QR codes were added.

You can select spaces for villagers to move into before they arrive. It was shown in the direct also you can definitely move shops, again that was shown.

You definitely can, it was shown in the Direct very briefly. However, Resident Services is still up for debate on being relocatable.

I'm so hyped. Usually as my town changes I regret living by the beach to hear the waves because I HAVE NO YARD. Now I could even MAKE a yard O.O

This is so awesome! I always regret my house location in some point. Or I like map, but Retail is not where I wanted so...

Now I'm thinking about making a village in the map, where all houses are nicely spaced. Own place for town center, where are all shopping stuff. Huh, I cannot wait.

I LOVE this! I'm really bad at planning things in advance and I used to end up with badly-placed public projects, bridges and so on back in NL (like, I'd even end up hating the placement of my own house). This is great because I feel like I can just spend my days playing casually and only worry about the layout of the town a few weeks into the game, if not months. Really takes some of the pressure off and I can't wait to enjoy the game without worrying too much about the consequences of my early decisions lol.
