The struggle to get pearls...

I am also having a hard time finding pearls. I have only found 3 pearls on my own the rest I got from pascal.

Pascal hasn’t given me any. I’ve gotten the DIY’s and a dress.

I've also had the worst time trying to find pearls. I think I've only found 2 myself, and the rest are from Pascal, but even then it's not many. I'm hoping once he gives me all the DIYs he'll start giving me pearls instead of duplicate recipes.

I swear, he better not give me duplicate recipes or me and the otter are going to fight

I don't dive too much but my sisters dive until they find pascal each day, and they're both receiving lots of pearls, clothing items, and most rarely DIYs. I'm surprised nintendo made it so difficult to get those ones with most it's just luck and popping a balloon or picking up a bottle, with the mermaid DIYs you need to put in a decent amount of work to have a small chance of getting one

For real though! It’s wicked frustrating. They should have set it up the way they do with Celeste. It’s crazy that you can dive 1,000 times and only get like 4 pearls.

All I seem to get off Pascal is pearls at the moment. I read somewhere you need 20 Pearl's for all the diys and I have 20 now and I've made 6 items already so I really dont need any more

Damn that sucks! I feel like they weren’t finished tweaking pascal before releasing the update.

Strangely enough, pearl from spongebob appeared and slapped me till some weird shaped pearls fell out of my mouth.

I think the hunt for them turn out good.

All I get from Pascal is pearls because I have the DIY's and chick clothing. :-/
And I sometimes find pearls.

I have bout 40, but I have no interest in the mermaid set.

I actually seem to get pearls very easily. I'm still missing 3 DIYs but i have about 30 pearls sitting in storage. Maybe 20 are from pascal but i caught 5-10 myself! I just go for the small stationary creatures

How is everyone struggling to get pearls? I literally have like 50 of them with no effort. I'm struggling to get DIYs! He keeps giving me pearls!! XD

That's frustrating! I was able to get two pearls in a row, both from Pascal. I sold them because money > crafting in my mind apparently. lol

If you have alot of trouble getting there's lots of nice people on here that will sell them for a very fair price

I haven't struggled to get pearls. I've gotten quite a few from diving, and Pascal has given me a bunch (even if I'd rather he just give me more DIYs/clothing, lol), so I have roughly 35 or so without using any yet for the mermaid DIYs.

For my case, I get lucky and get pearls from time to time that I think I already have one and a half stack of it from both diving and with Pascal giving them to me in lieu of DIYs (just need one more to complete my mermaid collection :’D). I also got them quicker since I also have 2 spare accounts I use to hunt for Pascal and he has the tendency of giving me pearls instead of diys/clothing items lol

I sometimes see a pearl when I try searching for some scallops, so far I’ve gotten 2 from diving and got 12 by paschal. I‘m not so lucky trying to getting the mermaid DIY’s though. Scallops appear when I’m trying to farm Gullivarrr but then I find none when I actually want to see Paschal, it’s insane!

I’m having a tough time finding pearls. 454 creatures caught and only two of them have been pearls. I know it’s good that I’m getting the diy recipes, but I can’t build them without the pearls. Anyone else getting a crappy ratio?? I know they’re supposed to be rare, but this is kinda ridiculous.

EDIT:It looks like it really varies from person to person. I think everyone can agree that their approach to the mermaid collection was ridiculous. It should have been recipes first, then items and pearls. The spawn rate of pearls is crazy. I know they’re supposed to be rare, but diving for 100 critters- you should at least have one pearl. I hope everyone’s able to finish the collection before summers up. Good luck everyone ❤
