Just something I want to know. After we get all the updates we will for ACNH and we decide start over on our game, do we get all the updates that were already handed out at once from the beginning? (a good example is the swimming)
I mean I don't foresee myself starting over but I may later if I feel bored and it would be something good to know.
Also, do you think these update things will last a year or more than a year?

I mean, you may have to wait for certain aspects- like the museum painting expansion requires a minimum number of donations. But you certainly won't be waiting as long. I don't know how early you can access diving, though.

Yes, any further copies of AC will have the new update applied to it.
Nintendo has mentioned that they would be supporting the game for 3 years so there are looks of updates to look forward to.

oh so 3 years worth of new updates? or 3 years to download the updates upon purchasing/starting over the game?

If you update your game, it updates to the latest version so it will have all the things introduced in all earlier updates. Of course the timed events won't happen (like easter won't happen if you're not playing at easter obviously) but all the new things like wetsuits and Leif etc. will be in your game from the start. (Of course, you will for example need to develop the plaza first for Leif to show up.)

I would assume so, unless the events are date specific (like the wedding event being in June). I would guess that the wetsuit is a summer item that is only for sale during that season (like the surfboard, fan). But if you visited another island and bought one I'd think you could go swimming "early."

Interesting, thank you for sharing that. I am happy they're looking at a long-term commitment to the game, longevity is clearly on their radar this time around!
