Just save and quit then reload the game, it switches where the villagers are when you do that.

Does any one know the best way to get villagers out with out losing your dream villagers? Someone said they know a way that took five minutes to do but he never said how! I tried time traveling two days and back but I lost chief that way! So if you know a safe way please private massage me!

Travelling more than 1 day at once is always risky. There is a guide on here that says if you TT 4-5 days right after someone moves in there wont be consequences but I'm wary about that. I always go day by day no matter what.

I just go day by day....and I run around and talk to ppl, sometimes lets say im talking to rosie, she will tell me so and so is wanting to leave..so if I run around that person and they do not ding, I save quit and go right back in and they ding me.. by the 4-5th day I TT someone usually wants to leave...I don't really go backwards.

I don't know why but sometimes when I TT in my spare town, someone moves, although I walk right in front of them and they don't have the surprised mark telling me they are moving...

thankfully I have yet to lose anyone with this method. I make sure I talk to villagers I want to keep multiple times to see if they tell me about someone wanting to leave.

The guide that others have posted (the one originally from tumblr) has worked for me without any problems or lost villagers.

That doesn't even make sense... Unless you talked to him inside. Cause he wont ping you if he's inside. You should also always talk to people you want to stay multiple times per day. Not only to keep them in town, but also because they will tell you if anyone is thinking of moving.

Sometimes you have to talk to the characters until they get angry with you to know if there is that "rumor" of someone moving. That's how I got Boomer out!
