I am not interested in Lucky, but how do you know/confirm if you have villagers in a "wifi pool"? Its been bugging me for a while how this works

There's no real for sure way of knowing, but I think it clears your pool if you visit a town with 10 villagers.

Ah, thanks for the info... I had a villager move in that I have NEVER seen before and no matter how many resets I did, her plot was always there. If only I had known earlier xD

Yeah, it's dependent on the person coming to your town, that they visit a town with 10 villagers first. That's why I'm picky about it. :p

That happened twice with me. Once it was during Streetpass with a random person at a restaurant, and the other after I wified.
