Richard Anthony Jefferson (born 1956) is an American-born molecular biologist and social entrepreneur who developed the widely used reporter gene system GUS, conducted the world's first biotech crop release, proposed the Hologenome theory of evolution, pioneered Biological Open Source and founded The Lens. He is founder of the social enterprise Cambia and a Professor of Biological Innovation at the Queensland University of Technology. In 2003 he was named by Scientific American as one of the world's 50 most influential technologists, and is renowned for his work on making science-enabled innovation more widely accessible. He was profiled in 'Open & Shut: The Basement Interviews', and other major media, including in an Economist Feature 'Grassroots Innovator' in 2001.

The film premiered in the Dubai International Film Festival in 2016 and released in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, UAE, Kuwait, and Palestine in 2017. The film revolves around the story of a Lebanese mother who has developed a deep hatred towards Syrians as she lost her brother to a tragic incident during the Lebanese-Syrian war. The memory of her brother's death still fresh, keeps her hatred ongoing to the point that when she finds out that her daughter's suitor and his family are Syrians, she is determined to stop the engagement. The film has a message of tolerance and forgiveness explicit in the two families comedic roller coaster ups and downs that eventually unravels the hatred in the end. Although the film targets the Lebanese and the Syrians, its message is applicable to other Arab neighbors and in general too.

USCGC Androscoggin (WHEC-68) was an Owasco class high endurance cutter built for World War II service with the United States Coast Guard. The war ended before the ship was completed and consequently Androscoggin did not see wartime service until the Vietnam war.

Androscoggin was built by Western Pipe & Steel at the company's San Pedro shipyard. Named after Androscoggin Lake, Maine, she was commissioned as a patrol gunboat with ID number WPG-68 on 26 September 1946. Her ID was later changed to WHEC-68 (HEC for "High Endurance Cutter" - the "W" signifies a Coast Guard vessel).[1][2]
 
The Louisiana Community Colleges Athletic Conference (LCCAC) is a member conference of the National Junior College Athletic Association. It, along with the MACJC, are members of Region XXIII.

The conference was once known as the MISS-LOU Junior College Conference, up until its name change in early 2019.

The members of the LCCAC do not have football programs whereas the members of the MACJC do.

The LCCAC is a junior college conference for many technical and community colleges. Conference championships are held in most sports and individuals can be named to All-Conference and All-Academic teams. At one time, Meridian Community College in Meridian, Mississippi was a member of the LCCAC, however MCC left the conference in 2002 for the MACJC in order to cut travel expenses.

Poole is a census-designated place (CDP) in Buffalo County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Kearney, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the CDP was 19 at the 2010 census.[1]



Ethmia pericentrota

Ethmia pericentrota is a moth in the family Depressariidae. It is found in South Africa.

The wingspan is 15–16 mm. The forewings are ochreous-white with the costal edge black towards the base and with a large black dot near the base in the middle. The stigmata forms small round black spots, with the plical rather obliquely before the first discal, an additional spot is found midway between the plical and the base and there is a marginal series of about nine rather large irregular black dots around the posterior part of the costa and termen. The hindwings are light grey.[2]
