The Wishing Well - THE END!

looks like we'll manage this round's goal in time.. slightly dreading seeing how much they're going to want for both rosewater potions, though
We don’t even know if the rosewater potions will be next round. It could be the round after. In which case, if the amount of fairy dust keeps getting higher as it has been, then I don’t think we’re going to make it.

yeah i know it might not be next round; just saying that, whenever it is-- i'm a little worried about the demands they'll have, lol

Either way, I’m about to donate most of my fairy dust - 100 to Farley, 100 to Serena. After that besides the mushrooms we just need to get Farley’s 10 bells.

I’m just worried about the future. Even the most determined donators can only do so much. If the goalposts reach super high numbers next round (and the one after), we might have to go around and politely ask non-fairgoers to donate their dust. Hopefully things won’t go that extreme.

Or, if the required dust is super high, maybe pick one to donate to as a group to get at least one top prize, especially if it's one of the potions. ?

Jeez, I was really freaking out this morning because I'm so delirious that I don't know what day it is anymore!;) I thought the blessing window was ending today and with people being busy during the middle of the week (as opposed to a weekend), I thought we weren't going to make it! So now I'm pleasantly surprised that we have another 16 hrs to go and we're progressing nicely! Good job everyone!!

Yeah, this is what I mentioned in one of my lasts posts and is something I heavily agree with. If the fairy dust required becomes too high to get both of the final prizes, we should definitely decide altogether which final prize we want more. Unfortunately, in that scenario there will inevitably be people who won't get the prize they want. But it's better than not getting either of them (and also solves the problem of preventing the Fair from going out on a lousy note).

For the rest of the prizes after this round, I have no preference, everything is awesome (lego movie? no?) so I can go with whichever...

Yeah, we'll definitely have to wait and see what the prizes end up being. And it may end up being the case where we can still get both of them. We'll just have to wait and see. 🤷‍♂️

i just set serena to 5,000! are we trying to even stuff out? if so, send to farley.
It doesn't matter too much for now, since all milestones except for the mushrooms has been hit. They just need to each reach 5400, whether that's through dumping it all into Serena/Farley first then dumping into the other, or spreading the dust out evenly.

I wasn’t really thinking about how the Rosewater Potions would likely require obscene amounts of Fairy Dust to unlock them…maybe if they’re revealed to be super pretty (which they probably will be), people will be more likely to donate in order to obtain them.

I think the staff will be closely monitoring the dust amounts to make sure future donation goals are challenging but fair (no pun intended). I don't think the intention is to close the fair on a sour note; the goal is to make sure everyone has a fun and memorable experience. Which they have been succeeding at, imo.

As an aside, I'm more of a lurker but I still enjoy going through contest posts and giving likes/hearts to people's posts.

If anyone else is also lurking, I would encourage you to peep at all the creative/funny posts that fellow fair-goers are posting and give them a reaction, even if you can't think of anything to say. Personally, i find it heartening whenever I get a notification because someone reacted to one of my silly "where is gnome" captions. And as a bonus, reactions give some dust :) and every bit counts~

I just got more dust for profile visit/post, so that's something than earns more than once a day. 3 for visiting profile, 5 for posting on profile. I hope they show the how the dust worked when this is over, now I'm really curious....
I’m not sure how the mechanics work either, but I’ve gotten fairy dust for visiting a profile a couple of times today! I’d say around 3-4 times? The amount has been fluctuating as well, which probably has to do with the cooldown effect 😅

I don't disagree with this. I was simply acknowledging the fact that it's possible we could not be able to reach both of the final milestones on one of these last rounds, due to the ever-increasing amount of fairy dust required.

I don't believe it's the staff's intention to sour the Fair either, as that would be contradictory to what the staff wants. I was simply just acknowledging what others have mentioned in their posts before mine.

The whole we-all-vote-for-one-prize thing is kind of just a backup plan in case it comes to that. It's not an end all, be all.

And yes, I agree about the reaction idea (if you need proof of that then just look at all the contest entries I've love reacted).

Cheers!
