The Hairy Goose-millipede!
The hairy goose-millipede is unlike its common millipede friends. For starters it can fly! All of their limbs must work together to keep them in flight. And wow do they shed a lot! So much that some angry falcon's psycho sister could hypothetically track them. They eat leaves from the tops of trees, grass, fruit, and especially love hay. Above all else they have big hearts and are companions for life.

My original idea was something entirely else, but then the prompt made me think of Appa from Avatar the Last Airbender. He is hairy and has a lot of legs!

This crooked plant is usually assumed by unsuspecting tourists to be a humble fern that grew a bit off-kilter. In actuality, it loves to challenge human visitors to wager their money on a game of cards so it can perform slight-of-frond tricks just out of view, as pictured above. The third tendril proves especially effective in hiding the good cards, as its human opponents are only used to keeping track of two enemy limbs at a time. While some members of the species have been known to take on honest jobs, this particular crooked plant has no intention of “going straight.”

Prompt: Bloated Lizard

Entry Image with Username:
1730084943042.png

3+ sentences: A master of subterfuge, this chameleon has transcended simple camouflage tactics to hunt its prey. A special "Nat" variant of the lizard has learned to host "Bug-Off" events where unsuspecting passerby are enticed to offer freshly captured insects in exchange for random insect-themed paraphernalia. Scientists are stumped as to where he sources his prizes, but are enthralled by his clever ruse to ensure a monthly feast during the summer months.

Your entry is missing the written portion of the requirement. Please edit your post with at least 3 sentences about your creature (like it's habits, environment or any other characteristics, for example), I'll be able to accept your entry then. Thank you!

SERPENTINE WATERMELON
This creature likes to lurk in any market stall with multiple watermelons for sale. It coils the segments of its body such that it is almost indistinguishable from the real fruit, but the lack of gaps is the telltale sign that one is hiding. If disturbed, the head segment's 'face' peels away to reveal a bright red intimidating glare, the facade continuing with the seed like markings. NOTE: Despite its appearance, it is carnivorous and hates fruit. It does find prey that has consumed fruit extra delicious, though, or so the rumours go.

Squishy sloth:

A very friendly and lazy sloth species that is actually squishy and very soft like a plush and by its own appearance. Squishy sloths like to have their cheeks squished rather than being petted and they also like hugs from humans and other friendly animals. This type of sloth species favors tropical rainforests and similar environments just like other common sloths.

I also have a better image quality than this link, but imgbb rejected it since it was too big.

In a vast swamp area, there can be found a mystical creature named by spotters, the Cranky Basilisk. A serpent monster of an impressive ten meter size, its dark black eyes will turn any who unluckily meet its gaze into dust. Its cranky description derives from an irritable look that seems to be permanently engrained in its face, which many would guess is from its inability to feed on its prey, being all disintegrated into thin air.

✨ The Ravishing Fairy ✨
IMG_2683.jpeg

They say “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, so beware the Ravishing Fairy! It lures humans into a trap by shapeshifting into what their prey finds most beautiful. It resides deep within the enchanted dark forest, waiting for their next victim. Its true form is currently unknown.

This gargoyle has existed for so long that it has become putrid. It used to be grey, but moss has grown on it's rock hard skin. You can smell it from far away, and the stench makes ones stomach turn like on no other fair ride. This is very unfortunate, since the gargoyle is a very nice, good boy, who tries to keep the buildings in his city clean. His only friend is a ghost who can't smell him, since the ghost doesn't have a nose.

Edit: the entry box uncheck as I switched devices to write, so I had to edit to check the entry box...

Clumsy Capybara

capyfear1.png

''The feared clumsy capybara: the terror of cutlery, pottery and any kind of fragile items.
Don't fall for the inherent cuteness of this mammal. If let it be, it will trip and break anything you hold dear while making an endearing 'oopsie' noise. The worst part its that you cannot be mad at the capybara, they look so very sorry afterwards...''

The Mechanical Canine (bark bark!) is a robot dog with a wide arsenal of tools at his disposal. His back opens up to reveal a large prehensile hand, his eyes shoot lasers, and his feet are equipped with rockets, perfect for high velocity games of fetch! Capable of playing dead by exploding and then reconstructing himself with no actual damage, this loyal companion will always stay by your side. This droid doggy truly is man's best friend.

The smiley clock.
smiely clock.jpg
The smiley clock is a creature that forms from the physical manifestation of bedtime procrastination. It will spawn from any analog clock in your room as long as you are in the dark and acknowledge you should be sleeping instead of using your screens. Despite its frightening features, the creature will, to the best of its non-verbal ability, attempt to remind you that it's time to go to bed, the lack of sleep will ruin your fine skin and you do not want to look like it. Failure to fall asleep after its warning is common and it will not be hostile towards you, it will simply look at you until you choose to rest and keep all electronic devices away from you.

The Translucent Mantis is a magnificent and cute creature that’s been mostly found in rainforests especially when it’s very sunny. They thrive from the sunlight passing through them particularly in the fact that it tickles them. Anyone who happens to see these can’t help but smile from how beautiful they are.

wary kitsune

1111111111111111.png

There are legends of a bewitching kitsune... who despises being bewitching. The poor creature attracts all sorts of weirdos and monsters; all of them begging for some of its paranormal power. As a result, this kitsune fled to live in a void somewhere, occasionally appearing as a small dot of white with red in the distance as it dashes away from everything.

Today on What the Wildlife?!

We hone in on this mysterious plant found on the snow moons of Inclidar. It looks like a common cactus similar to what we have here on Earth, except adapted to the cold climate. In an attempt to keep the milk inside from freezing, this cactus has layered itself in a soft wool-like fur. The fur can be harvested to make coats capable of withstanding the freezing cold of this planet meanwhile the milk is a powerful hallucinogen. All attempts to grow this plant Earth-side have resulted in fuzzy succulents that thrive in TBT's forests.

Introducing the Squishy Mailbox!

This pitiful creature is an inhabitant of rural neighborhoods, found making burrows in the bushes of people's front yards, this creature is an anomaly as to how it has survived this long. Its small squishy body, makes it weak to almost any predators, however, most predators have stated it is not appetizing, in both taste and texture, almost like it is made out of foam.

On the other hand, humans often find this creature quite adorable, its small squishy cheeks and malleable body make it extremely fun to hold, kids especially enjoy playing with them. There isn't much of a safety risk when holding them, it may have teeth on the inside of its mouth but most times it struggles to be able to open its mouth enough to make much of an impact, plus its teeth are not super sharp unless used with force. It is also most often found crying or screaming, and will not try to fight back.

Its mouth unhinges like a mailbox door, and opens to a void similar to a black hole, do not put your mail into it's mouth or you will never see it again. Even with such power, it mostly feeds on grass and berries as it does not have the capabilities to find much more than that to feed on. It's tiny stick like wooden legs make it very fragile and may easily fall over at times. Please respect all squishy mailboxes in your area, they are just trying to exist.

refs3.png

I wanted to create a mailbox creature, as this is a creature event, and just a plain mailbox doesn't give much to go off of. After finding refs of the mailbox I had in mind and a few examples of squishies, this creature was born lolol.

The Towering Snake stood tall, its massive form blocking my path with scales that gleamed in the dim light. It flicked its tongue out slowly, as if sensing my every move. I could feel a strange energy radiating from it, making it clear this was no ordinary snake but a powerful creature I needed to be cautious around.

Ominous Hummingbird
ominoushummingbird.png

The Ominous Hummingbird appears at locations where unfortunate events will soon take place. Their sudden appearance is attributed to their four wings which allow them to fly faster than any normal humingbird. These creatures are in fact harmless, and merely feed off the negative energy generated by misfortune. Severe disasters tend to attract many of them. So if you ever start seeing Ominous Hummingbirds, you should leave the area immediately!

The Majestic Lion-Turtle is a marvelous being, capable of carrying entire cities on its back.

This, however, is the Furry Lion-Turtle, which is only capable of carrying a single trick-or-treating neighborhood on its back. It is a very furry creature, possessing a tail that resembles a small paintbrush. The Furry Lion-Turtle can also be identified by inspecting its face, which should ever-so-slightly resemble a famous happy painter.
