The Worst/Best Social Media Platform

The worst is Twitter, 100%. It is so toxic and drama filled, I don't understand why people use it. I admit I like to browse the drama sometimes but man, the people IN the drama... I feel sorry for them. Why continue to keep it and have that stress and toxicity eat at you constantly? No thanks!

The best would be Tiktok, only because I love the Vine energy.

I'd say instagram cause you don't need to be superactive and you can interact more at your level or not at all and just follow people for the sake of it.

Worst I'd say like, most other, especially FB for a bunch of reasons. Also TikTok due to the influencer/donate culture.

I'd say youtube since influencers/culture of that really sucks and I don't get the point of it but I try to avoid that since I only use YT for like that preganant video and music.

My favorite is reddit - I know a lot of the site can be toxic, but it's pretty good if you've got a personalized feed with just hobby and interest groups

I've pretty much stopped my facebook use entirely. I move around quite a bit and it was nice to check in on family and friends who live far away, but anymore it's just drama and offensive posts

Instagram. Obsession over likes, follower ratios and a perfect feed just made it awfully stressful to use. I stopped using it halfway through high school, and it honestly did a lot for my mental health lol.

I use Snapchat/Reddit/Twitter religiously though, and am a proud TikTok user.

The worst: Instagram. A quick scroll-through never fails to make me hate myself. I also hate that feeling of obsessing over the number of followers I have, it’s so stupid and pointless but hard not to do.
The best: Snapchat. I like seeing my friends’ faces every now and again, it helps me feel less alone. I think the filters are fun and snapchat tends to feel more personal and private. I worry less about what I post on my story and whether it’s good enough.

I deleted my FB account several years ago - best decision ever. I have Twitter, but never use it.

The only platform I use now is Tumblr, which has it's problems, to be sure, but I have it heavily currated, so it's a fairly safe spot for me right now.

id have to say the worst is twitter, what a disaster of a website. i used to use instagram a lot but now i mostly use reddit and discord. reddit has some toxic areas but i like having seperate communities for stuff i like. i only use snapchat for streaks. tiktok is hit and miss, havent touched it in a while tho.

from personal experience id have to say the worst is twt - esp stan twitter. can’t stand the people on there; may be an orbit (loona fan) but i don’t joke abt deaths like “maybe if only ____ stanned loona they wouldn’t have died” that’s fr so petty and disrespectful

tiktok, insta, and reddit are hit or misses, and discord has been pretty chill for me - some problematic areas in servers but not as much as twt lmao

It’s all garbage, varying from a wreaking dumpster to a full-blown landfill—on fire.

Twitter is the worst right now, imo. I haven’t used any social media except reddit for about two years now. I don’t regret it at all—I just wish I could quit reddit too lol
this is my exact mindset on social media lol. i only use reddit and even that can be too much sometimes. i really hate social media, and deleting my instagram/facebook years ago was one of the best decisions i could've made

I use Reddit now, but I dislike how it has a hivemind when it comes to opinions and posts. r/AnimalCrossing seems kinda judgmental at times when people like popular villagers for example. Also Reddit can host some really bigoted people

I used Tumblr as a kid which wasn’t really healthy. I also think that Twitter constantly argues and attacks people… pretty toxic

I don't think there is a best. The worst I've ever used is and was Twitter. I rarely use it now. I just check it from time to time. Their mob mentality is astonishing, they love to cancel people, and they love complaining at any given chance.

I haven't used any social media besides WhatsApp and Snapchat, but it's really to catch up with some old friends from HS. I think any social media that promotes cancel culture are outright toxic.

I don't have much social media accounts but I recently decided to start browsing Twitter since I have a throw away account to post my Animal Crossing screenshots and I quickly realized how much I hate it there. I can't stand the mob mentality/hive mindset and it just feels so toxic.

I feel as if the best social media platforms tend to change around all the time! I tend to be a big user of Instagram over everything else, but that doesn’t mean that I can deny the toxic parts of Instagram as well, such as the need to seem fully polished and have a certain type of aesthetic, no matter how real you try to be. In the end, you’re going to try and put out a certain image of yourself for the world to see, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! It’s just that it’s hardly ever the super true you, which can be a bit hard to deal with at times.

In a wild way, I feel like the same applies to Twitter. I always feel as if I can be a bit more authentic on Twitter, but also as if I’m constantly being watched, which I guess is something that is similar with all social media platforms, but for some reason Twitter just feels a lot more...intense.

Facebook used to be my all time favorite back in the day when I was still living at my parents house, but after I got to college it just really wasn’t used so much anymore. I feel like everyone just moved on to Twitter and Instagram, and now even Tik Tok (which, lets be reak, is just Vine 2.0).

I don't know what the best would be because all forms of social media are pretty terrible in my opinion but I can tell you from being on Twitter for two years now it's definitely by far the worst and most toxic site to be on.

worst: personally, i find instagram toxic for my mental health but i think that's just got to do with the likes system n such. i've noticed i've started paying attention a lot more to what i post, and getting down when it doesn't get the reaction i expected. i often take photos of myself solely for the purpose of putting them on instagram, and i've noticed that it's become a lot more about the temporary validation than having fun now for me. so i decided to deactivate it recently, i don't think i plan on coming back.

best?? idk i use facebook, but i don't particularly enjoy it. it just makes it easier for friends and family to connect with me and send me messages. at one point, i did deactivate that too. but it made it extremely difficult for friends and family to reach me, and they'd complain about it, so i reactivated it. i do use reddit quite a lot, and it can be good depending on the subreddit you're viewing.

Unfortunately all social media sites have a pretty toxic mindset from my experience. Content wise, I find most enjoyment out of Reddit. I hate following specific people on social media platforms like Twitter because people always mix in politics with their content or other things and it just kills the experience for me. I'm also not a fan of actually having to find people just to get content either. Reddit I can just follow any topic I want and get content from a bunch of people pulled from all sorts of websites. It's convenient and I don't have to follow anyone, just topics. It's far from perfect as Reddit has the tendency of forming a hivemind of opinions like any other social media platform and politics due leak into subreddits sometimes, but it's more tolerable because I can just hide the posts.

I like instagram. I don't spend a whole lot of time on it but I enjoy going on during breaks, I just find it aesthetic and easy to use. I don't really obsess over followers/likes and I like seeing pictures from people I know but don't necessarily interact with regularly anymore.

I think twitter is a toxic wasteland, looking at comments on there never fails to enrage me

I use youtube, instagram, twitter and sometimes reddit.
Twitter is definitely the most toxic by far. There isn't a way to stay away from drama and toxicity, it's a literal cesspit. Instagram is okay as long as you follow decent people. I would say youtube is the least toxic but I guess it depends on what kind of videos you watch (eg the beauty community lol)

Best: none; even though they can all bring people together, they all are toxic at their core and/or have huge privacy issues. Maybe some smaller ones aren’t too bad, though.
Worst: Twitter (unbelievably toxic), Reddit (awful userbase), Tumblr (userbase on the same level as reddit), Facebook (terrible for privacy)
