Theory about Gracie Grace's return.

I've been thinking a lot about how unseen NPCs are going to make a return in the future and I know that this is unlikely, but I have a theory about how Gracie could come back in the future. I'm not sure when they would do it, but the way that they let us (briefly) see Cyrus and Reese again via Harv's island has caused me to wonder if they would do the same thing with Gracie Grace.

I can see her coming back for a month's span of time at some point, but what she's using Harv's island for would be for a fashion show of sorts? She would have a lot of designer clothing items, and you would have to piece together the outfits and use your villagers (or amiibo) as models for it, maybe? And you would have to take pictures like a glam photoshoot or something. She could be looking for pictures to advertise her new line. Or maybe she would be wanting some new pictures of a "showcase" of her furniture lines, in a similar fashion. You'd be able to use some sort of item similar to the heart crystals from the wedding event to buy pieces of her furniture or clothing afterwards. Or maybe she'd send you something in the mail.

Honestly I'd prefer if she came back in the form of a permanent vendor on the island, but the more I think about this theory, the more it seems more likely to happen than a grandiose expansion on the Nookling's store. (At least, anytime soon. The infinite possibility of upgrades for many years to come probably signifies that *eventually*, many things are going to be added in, but I'm talking about within the next year or two here).

I just feel like they'll reuse the Harv's island excuse for things and I can see how they'd easily incorporate Gracie Grace. I'm not sure how that would work for other NPCs other than perhaps Lottie.

I could actually see that being a thing! I personally thought she would appear sometime after more Nook's Cranny upgrades like previous games, but this makes more sense, especially considering the fears of a big shopping mall type store and how that would look for the island! I actually really like this idea.

Yes I agree!!! As much as I would really like for her to have a level on some big store (I loved the shopping experience and how she wrapped up all of your purchases in a cute little present!) I feel like they won't put that on the island, at least anytime soon unfortunately. They could later down the line. I mean honestly they could probably come up with a cute tropical design for a big store but I think that their attachment to the "deserted island turned small village" aesthetic would conflict too greatly with that.

Anything to get her expensive furniture and clothes. I really wish I had appreciated City Folk's idea of going to the city at the time. Trying to put in NPCs from the past is something else this time around.

Yeah, me too. Took it for granted majorly. I was really hoping there'd be somewhere we could fly for some super cute shopping when the game was speculation and honestly I'd still love that. Maybe a cute pier or something. I absolutely LOVE her furniture sets and clothes and I would always hold off decorating my house in NL and previous games until I could obtain the Gracie and Gorgeous sets. The furniture selection in this game is pretty disappointing, especially with the lack of any guarantee of getting Gracie items. I'm sure she could have some super cute new lines too and everything.

I suspect we would have to fly just to meet her since this game kind of seems to want people to fly. It would be kind of weird just to fly out to get clothing, but I guess furniture would make more sense. She could be a permanent NPC that visits your island or actually lives there. For some reason Nintendo or whoever created this game doesn't seem to like having more than one NPC on the island at a time. The gorgeous set caught my eye in New Leaf. I can't remember if it was in City Folk. I'd love to see new stuff from Gracie, even if that meant not having her previous stuff, as long as they look great. Furniture is definitely lacking. I miss the Alpine set, modern wood set, and modern set. Oh, the sleek set was also really appealing.
