It seems like a modder has a found a feature where villagers can actually come to your home just like in new leaf and in the video it shows screenshots of how it actually works.

I guess we have to wait in march or later to see if the dataminers are right ^^
I am still waiting for a lot of things tbh like Brewster, different kind of vegetables, ceiling light...

Tbh I'm not missing it. In NL it was too much, villagers were constantly asking to visit my home and they were always mad because I forgot to show up at the time they set up. I'm okay if they add this features but only if villagers ask to come sometime and not every day.

You always had the option to say "No" its not like you were forced to do it. You're entitled to your opinion but there is a lot of people who want this feature back because at the moment New Horizons has no way of bonding with your villagers.

Of course but I believe I'm like many other players, I don't like to say no to the villagers as I want to be "friend" with them. I really appreciated it in WW but in my opinion in NL it was a bit too often. To me, what would be more interesting to come back is the flea market for instance but I doubt we will see it.

Oh yeah the Flea market. I remember when the Wedding Season came out in June 2020 I was hoping Reese and Cyrus would be interested in setting up a Re-tail shop on our island but guess what? They never did. I mean why in the world did they make them come back just to only take pictures of them at Harvs island? The way they did them in this game just felt like a slap to the face. I will agree with you that they should bring it back.

Anyways the point is if you didn't have time to spend with your villagers they should not be so over dramatic about saying No. I remember how that was a thing back in the older games when villagers always used to insult you whenever you said no, but I think since in New Horizons they would not be mad if you said no so it should not lower the friendship. I know this is a strange thing to say but villagers barely don't do much in this game compared to New Leaf. The only thing I was able to do with them was Treasure Hunt but thats just it.

Yeah, in New Horizons they don’t get upset if you say no when you accidentally talk to them or they want to buy a fish or something from you. I’d love for this feature to be added as I personally loved it in New Leaf, but I think Nintendo should make it so the villagers are okay with you saying no and the villagers are always readily available. For example, instead of saying “I’m going to be hanging out with Antonio until 1:30, so any time after that works.” they could say “Do you want to hang out now or later?” and let you choose your own time. This way you wouldn’t risk being late in case you couldn’t time travel if you had turnips or something.

Yes it's a good thing that they don't get upset when saying no in NH. And I agree that if they add this feature we should be able to ask them to come right away because I remember them saying "I'm busy right now, can we do it later" or something like that if I chose 10 min later and since I don't TT I sometimes just could'nt be on time.

I don’t mind if they bring back villagers asking to come to my house, but I hope they don’t bring back villagers just randomly stopping by whenever I’m home. Or if they do bring it back, I hope there’s a way to turn off random visits. I seem to remember that being a thing in New Leaf and I really didn’t like it. I like to hang out in my house and when I’m there, I don’t want to be disturbed!

i was actually just talking to someone else about this the other day, i'd LOVE to have this feature back! i loved having plans to hang out with certain villagers at certain times. i remember wanting ankhas portait in ACNL so we'd always plan visits to my house, it was super cute and i liked hearing them comment on my house :)

This is what we've been missing! More villager interaction! I'm not holding my breath for this because they could very well delay it again for whatever reason, but I am still hopeful that villager visits return in full form.

This would be nice if it was added to the game, although I find it a bit odd and disappointing they waited this long to add it to the game, especially since it's not a game changing feature.

Consequence in video games has slowly been fading out. And people HAVE been complaining about it. Can't even begin to tell you how many people in the Sims 4 group complain about how little consequence there is for certain things. Same applies here. As much as I hate upsetting my villagers, I'd like to see them start showing more personality when upset, etc. I like that you can apologize to them. I'm not saying take away fixes, leave the fixes and like... just add the consequences back. 'Cause then everyone is happy, I think!

That all said, I'm living for this. I HOPE that this is true. I really miss my villagers being more a part of the game. I used to get so happy when one would drop in on me in other games.

Ah, yes. I totally forgot this even was in NL. I guess NH has made me so brain dead that I forgot the small things like this.

They came by a bit too often for my taste in NL tho.
