There’s fishing bait

I know, but this is for when you miss. I probably miss 4 out of 5 times when a tarantula is around. lol

Totally get you. Tarantulas scare the sh* out of me. When the villager jumped the river in the Direct, I cried tears of joy that they had survived the chase.

I don't personally feel the need for tarantula traps, but I wouldn't turn down the feature for the sake of my best friend, who hasn't played enough AC to run into one in-game but is TERRIFIED of them irl. I'm so worried for the first time one chases them in-game, I just know they're gonna shriek and drop their switch

Those are the moments for which we live. I had a spider jump at me in a PlayStation VR session, and I fell out of my chair.

😱
I don't consider myself to be afraid of spiders more than a normal amount and that'd kill me. It'd probably put my poor friend off of VR for ages

I'm really excited for bait and a more in-depth fishing system. I really like using different bait/lures in other games (Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem). Usually bait is used in games to attract higher rarity animals or to attract specific animals so I'm curious to see how it'll work here. I also wanna know if there are multiple different types of bait.

Also on a personal note, I'm vegetarian and I have zero problem with fishing and baiting (or even hunting in games like RDR) because it's just a game! No animals were harmed in the making of this lol

In the new trailers you can see some shrimp like creatures on the big flat rock at night (they move when the wave breaks) and I?m so excited cause maybe we can craft different types of bait for different fish!

I'm excited for the bait as well! I can literally imagine myself collecting clams all day to make fishing bait. If it does help to attract rare fish, then I'm all for it! :D

Fishing is one of my favorite activities to do in video games! I'm just excited that fishing is getting more stuff that interacts with it while (most likely) keeping it simple and straightforward.

I'm super excited for the bait, it'll be interesting to see how it affects fishing overall.
