So, I was doing a bit of cleaning, when I stumbled upon this little beauty:

It is a customisable toy Animal Crossing globe, which I believe is supposed to imitate the same art style as Dōbutsu no Mori. I can't remember exactly when I got it, but I have had it for a long time and thought you guys might like to see it. The instructions are all in Japanese I'm afraid, but it's pretty simple to use. The stump at the bottom is detachable and you can take the globe off and put on characters and items into the holes to make them stick, and it comes with stickers to put on. It's a lot of fun!

Unfortunately, I have lost a few of the characters/items that fit on, but I'm sure they'll turn up eventually (I remember having them). I'll be sure to take good care of this now that I've found it again.

Looking awesome! Hope you find the rest of the characters/items for it. :)

That's so gosh darn adorable holy heck dude what I'd do to own that.

What's it called? Specifically? like, I want to go search for one online RIGHT NOW.

EDIT: I'm stupid. It's dumb to even ask what ITS CALLED BECAUSE IT'S ALL IN JAPANESE.

is.. is that KK at the bottom?

Yep! Mr. Resetti and Mabel are also included. Mr. Resetti is one of the characters I've lost, though.

I'm not exactly sure. I'd have to have somebody translate the instructions to know for sure.

That's very cool can you still find these?

To me it seems like it's merchandise for the film. Hell, even the girl is included (you can see her on the front of the instruction book). They were probably in limited supply or something, so it might be hard to find, but try eBay.

this is so freaking cute, i'd order one myself if i can ever find it.

Good news, everyone! I found a cedar tree and Tom Nook! Still no sign of the few other characters/items, but I'm sure they'll turn up as I go.

it reminds me of that playstation game where you rolled stuff all on a world or something.
its cute though.

So, this is an Animal Crossing bag I've got. Neat, huh? Well, it gets better.

Inside this bag is official Animal Crossing figurines! They are Japanese, and they are part of a series of small Animal Crossing toys Nintendo produced in accompaniment to the original Animal Crossing game (the bag looks like it's for the film, though).

There are also houses and other buildings that you can get to go with them. Furniture, carpet, and wallpaper is also available.

I hope you guys like them!

This is such a good post! Thank you for posting these photos!!!

I have seen some of these on eBay earlier this summer going for ridiculous prices, and not showing actual photos of the items, just the promotional photos. Still not sure if they were actually selling the real thing.

Before the Amiibo cards and figures were announced, I had toyed with the idea of getting some of these figurines and sets.

As soon as the cards came out, all the items I had been looking at had disappeared from online stores. I missed my chance it seems.
But your photos are really cool and make me happy knowing that someone who appreciates animal crossing has some of these figures. Very cool.

oh my god, this is so adorable. i would have loved this as a kid. it reminds me a lot of how the rolling pin world effect was really apparent in the wild world game.
