I have Biskit as my Lazy villager, who I absolutely adore, but I finally got his pic yesterday and am thinking of trying out another Lazy Dog I've never had in any of the games. So that brings me to Bones or Benjamin. Benjamin doesn't seem to get a lot of love, but I have his Amiibo card so it would be super easy to move him in. Any comments on Benjamin from people who have/had him in their town?

I have not had Benjamin, but I think he is actually very cute in the game. (He came to my campsite at an inopportune time 
)
I like his slightly apologetic face and little whiskers and his piggy nose.
in Japanese his name is Hachi, probably after a famous very loyal dog, which doesn’t really effect anything, but I think it is a cute detail.
he seems like a nice, underrated good boy.

he's never going to be one of my permanent villagers, but i think he's underrated and totally wouldn't mind having him as a random move-in for a bit.
I have an completely illogical soft spot for Benjamin solely because of his name XD
I agree with the others above that he’s pretty underrated. Very unique design. But I guess there are so many cute dog villagers (bones, bisket) that he’s probably overshadowed

I've never had Benjamin, mostly because he is the only villager in game that shares a name with a close family member of mine so I generally avoid him due to that, but I agree that he's very underrated. During my island hopping excursions I've run into him a couple of times and he seems like a really sweet villager, usually I don't like the red eyed look on villagers but I don't really find it off putting with him and overall I think he's cute.

Thanks everyone for the input. I think if I had Bones' amiibo card as well, it would be a tough choice. But I think I will go with Benjamin. I love getting to know villagers I've never had before.
He is cute! I put him on the level with Marcel, both dogs with very unique designs!
I think Benjamin is pretty decent and underrated. Bones is literally my favorite villager though, so I'd honestly recommend him haha. Especially if you've never had him before. He's ridiculously cute and silly.

My Mum has Benjamin on her island but again for the name. My brothers name so he will be a permanent resident. I quite like Benjamin but I am quite partial to a lazy villager. I like his school style house and just his general inoffensive presence around the island.

Just a quick thanks for those of you suggesting Benjamin. He’s absolutely adorable and so far talks about bugs far less than other Lazy villager I’ve had. My favorite conversations so far was an extended one about blowing up a combustion engine in a car, and being able to use the power of his brain to smell baked salmon.

I hate Benjamin. Back in NL I invited him into my town because he had a bunch of Sloppy and Cardboard sets that I really wanted. I constantly tried to get him to ping me to come over to his house so I could buy his stuff but never let me buy anything, I think he knew I was just using him lol

I like Benjamin quite a bit. He has such a unique design compared to the others, which personally I think makes him special. I’ve had him a couple of times back in New Leaf, so that’s another reason I’m fond of him.

I think he’s adorable. I honestly kinda forgot about him since NL. Back in NL, I think I was a little interested in him. @Firesquids I think that is a large part of the reason I was interested in him too lol 
. I loved those unorderable furniture sets - sloppy especially. Back then I wasn’t interested in any dog villagers but I really think he did stand out to me and now seeing this thread, I still see why. As @CocoaCutie said, I think his design is unique — not unique like Lucky’s overall design but his face and expression seem quite different from the others. I feel bad for “forgetting” about him. I just like so many other villagers and the list keeps growing. Glad to see the OP is enjoying him
