Thoughts on Coco?

I love Coco, she's adorable. I think most (all?) of the bunny villagers are cute, but Coco is the only one I have thought about trying to invite.

Coco is my favorite villager of all time, actually! I adore her design and find it to be one of the most unique and aesthetically interesting of all the villagers. The only issue I have is that I seriously dislike her default outfit in NH, but that's an easy fix.

In prior games with blurrier graphics I thought Coco was actually some kind of baked pastry with chocolate sauce circles for her mouth and eyes. I'd only ever seen pictures of her, I'd never seen her in-game. Once I saw her in-game for New Horizons though I could see that she was a super creepy hollow clay doll and her mouth and eyes were like the dark endlessness of death. I felt like I could reach in through one of those holes and feel only emptiness, even though she moves and talks. She creeps me out big time, to the point I don't want her anywhere near my island. After trying her once at my campsite I traded away my only copy of her amiibo card.

I love Coco.. I know she's a gyroid but I always thought she was made out of cork.. like someone just carved her out of a cork from an old wine bottle. Also her facial expression never changing no matter what her emotion is, is adorable... most people might find it creepy but I love her big expressionless eyes

I had Coco for a long time. She was one of my first five (alongside Patty) to move to my island aaaaaall the way back in March 2020, and would stay a resident until I swapped her out in May 2023 with Caroline. She stuck with me for that long as I was impressed that I got her randomly, but the novelty wore off and I really wanted someone else after a certain point.

Despite me having her for such a long time, I'm not crazy about her. She can be cute if dressed right, though some glasses can make her look downright creepy, such as the silly and sparkly-eye ones. There's also certain fan art that makes her appearance similar to what you'd see in a horror movie. I'd really love to know more backstory from Nintendo themselves as to how she came to be, because her resemblances to gyroids is certainly intriguing.

Oh, and did you know that her ears never move, while the other villagers do? She also has unique dialogue when she talks about caring for her ears, as she's the only normal rabbit villager.

I’ve actually never had her/come across her when villager hunting. I used to be a bit creeped out by her, but now I think she’s alright. If I came across her when villager hunting, I would invite her to my island.
