Gonna be honest. None have really drawn me in, they either look like remakes of previous Pokemon, or I just dont get? I mean a car. I miss when Pokemon were based off animals like the first gen, and not objects.

The Aye Aye Pokemon is ok, but Im not a fan. As a huge poison Pokemon fan, its like poison normal right? Well it comes off as more of a dark type appearence wise.. Normal type dont usually have color schemes like that... normal types use more naural colors, usually browns and I know the color of an Aye Aye, but it still doesnt come across as a normal type.. so its kinda like Pokemon strayed away from traditional color schemes, and more so just worry about the appearence and slap on the normal sticker.

(Also Poppy Play Time hands. Just can't)

Maybe Im being too harsh? I still plan on playing it. Im just not a fan of the Pokemon revealed so far.

The only one I honestly really like is the duck starter. None of the others have really caught my interest.

Wiglet seriously weirds me out, but I refuse to say why,

But what are your thought on all the new Pokemon so far?

Well...for me, in almost every generation there are mons that I either like or dislike. Gen 8 was a very hot and cold gen for me. There were designs that I loved, like Runerigus, Dragapult, Hisuian Zoroark, etc. Then...there were ones I heavily disliked...like all the Galar fossil atrocities and the Clobbopus line.

So far Gen 9 has been different. I like most of the designs. I really love Ceruledge, Armarouge, Quaxly, and the engine mon (its not a car). Ceruledge is my favourite of them all so far. Its colours just really click for me and I love its ghost knight design.

There some I'm neutral towards, like Lechonk (still needs its evo reveal), Pawmi, Klawf, and Grafaiai. Based on its typing, Grafaiai is more of a Poison type than a Normal type. I can see its Normal typing though. Maybe its related to the Aipom line or Smeargle somehow. Its design is based on a graffiti artist and I like it enough that it might be on my team at some point.

The only one I dislike so far is Cetitan. Cetitan looks like it was designed by AI and thats not a compliment. There is just a lot of things wrong with it in my mind. Being pure Ice doesn't help it either.

Wiglett is the only one I'm unsure about. On one hand, its really cute and based on garden eels. On the other, its in R34 territory and the fact it gets Gooey is even worse. I can't give my full opinion on this gen's designs until the full dex comes out though.

Oh I didnt know it was an engine, my friend just said there was a car Pokemon, soo I asumed it was a full on car.

My bad. Thanks for the clear up

Yeah, its just the engine. I can see why some might be confused. It apparently controls the car but it isnt the car itself. I wish TPCi would just reveal it already so I don't have to keep calling it "engine mon"

I agree with you. They seem to really feel like Digimon more and more. There are handfuls I like from every gen though. So far for gen 9 I like Sprigatito, Pawmi, Fidough, and Grafaiai.

The starter are meh, but I do like Pawmi and Fidough. Wiglett is kinda cute too.

This is by far my least favorite generation for Pokémon designs. The only ones I actually like are Fuecoco, Wiglett, Fidough, Smoliv, Lechonk, Farigiraf, Grafaiai, and Cetitan. The rest range from meh to downright terrible. My main issue with most of them, even the ones I like, is that they're reusing animals that have been done before. Of course there are only so many animals to base Pokémon on, but having most of them be retreads shows a lack of inspiration. To me Bellibot is just a worse Politoed. The same can be said for Klawf being a worse Kingler. Meanwhile Armarogue and Ceruledge almost look like digimon. I really hope the rest of the Pokedex is better and more creative.

So far Fuecoco won me over to be my starter, and Miraidon looks like a really cool mascot legendary. Other than that, a lot of them are pretty cool/cute but none of them are exactly A+ to me. The past few generations left the coolest ones like Toxapex and Dragapult unrevealed, so I’m certain there’s much cooler Pokémon/forms we just haven’t seen yet. I’ve decided to not look at leaks and see them all in game this time around.

Most of them are VERY "meh".

-Sprigatito and Quaxly and cute. Fuecoco is a mess (and basically a Digimon)
-Klawf gets a pass for me. (A good pass). He's chill enough.
-Armarouge and Ceruledge are literally Digimon. Which I don't care for.
-I was excited for Grafaiai when it was announced, because an Aye-aye Pokemon sounded cool. But the design is lame.
-Pawmi and Lechonk are generic, but tolerable.
-Fidough is a cute idea. Design is nothing special though.
-Cetitan is one of those generic spiky boys that I won't care about.
-Wiglett is funny. But...also, why?
-Farigiraf is lazy and pointless.
-Smoliv is the generic seed/plant Pokemon that every game has and nobody likes. (We literally already have this design)
-Cyclizar is cool, I guess. Not super interested. But design is okay, and concept is at least unique.
-Koraidon and Miraidon aren't the worst legendary designs. I kinda like them better than a lot of the other ones.
-Bellibolt is my favorite so far...(and he's just a generic idiot). Lol.

One of the best gens so far, very surprised to see the meh response here. The designs actually feel like animals/monsters again. The only ones I don’t like are the new frog one. I forget its name. Looks a bit better animated but kinda messy while still being too simple of a shape, not appealing. And Ceruledge and its counterpart… Ceruledge is okay but both are just boring and out of place.

I think the shapes, silhouettes, etc on most are appealing and interesting, I like the concepts behind them, nothing to really complain about, lots of cute stuff but also cool stuff. The legendaries look and feel legendary again after the disaster that was the gen 8 legends. Pawmi and Smoliv are adorable, Klawf is funny, Cetitan is awesome- yeah yeah I can get if you guys are saying some of these species have been done before BUT I think the execution is extremely different and fresh. There’s an approach to designs I really like in these gens where they finally feel like stylised anatomy again instead of random shapes supposed to be xd funny/cute (that had been getting worse since gen 3 very slowly but oh my god gen 8 was stuffed to the glut with those designs). Compare Yamper, which I think is a terrible Pokemon to Pawmi and Fidough which have relatable elements. Absolutely enormous gap in design quality.

My opinions on the Pokemon designs are like: 1 and 2 have solid but not amazing dsigns, 3 has peak designs, 4 has really good designs, 5 designs are extremely hit or miss (more miss for me sadly, a lot of them are trying too hard or redundant), 6 designs are simple but good (better than 1/2), 7 designs are great, 8 without a doubt has the worst designs. I can’t even make a full team of new Pokemon that I like from gen 8 without really stretching it (for example I kind of like Hatterene but I wouldn’t really choose to put it on my team in a better gen, and tbh I kind of have the same problem with gens 2 and 5 but they aren’t as bad). Plenty of Pokemon in 9 make me curious.

I changed my mind after the reveal of Bellibolt. Bellibolt is my most disliked Gen 9 mon. I was at first neutral towards it but now all I see when I see it is Chansey (one of my most hated mon lines). As terrible of a design Cetitan is, at least it doesn't remind me of Chansey.

Lol. Maybe that's why I like Bellibolt. (I always liked Chansey...even back in gen 1).

I liked all of those Safarai zone Pokes.

I haven't felt fully connected to a new Pokemon generation since X and Y. I have no intentions of getting the game, if I get gifted it I'll play it but otherwise I won't be going out of my way to buy the game. There's only a few features that seem interesting to me ( giving Pokemon baths and customizing your avatar ) but otherwise that's it. It having no national dex is one of the biggest reasons why I have no interest

I like them all so far. The only two Pokémon I have ever disliked upon discovering their existence and because of their looks are Lickilicky (I refer to it as Ickyicky) because I wanted a Lickitung evolution for so long and even came up with a cool idea for one and was super excited when I heard it had gotten one only to be extremely disappointed when I saw it was a giant blob with an equally horrible name. The other was Quilladin because that blank dead eye smile it has in the games is just creepy and makes me think it is planning on stabbing me while I sleep. Which is a real shame as I really like Chespin and Chesnaught. If the in game battle sprite had a different expression maybe I’d like it more.

Sprigatito is why I'm getting Violet. I MUST have a plushie of that little furball. 😽 I'm just 'meh' about the rest of them. Don't love, don't hate them. Maybe it's my age but I'm all but losing interest in this franchise now. 😕

(Unrelated fact: I got a Litten plush when Sun & Moon released and got two shiny starters in the first 24 hours of getting the game. Without trying to. Those cat plushies must be magic ✨ I swear.)

I know how you feel. Let's Go is pretty much the only reason that I have an interest in this game, with the hopes that one of my favorites will return to play with. If none of the new designs look appealing to me, and none of my old favorites make it in, there's no reason for me to play... especially if they continue the trend of not including multi battles in the end game battle facility.

I think there's some really good designs actually. It probably won't get me to play the new Pokémon game though. Smoliv is adorable, and Grafailaidsdfdsgckxlai is such a unique lil guy.

I hope Sprigatito has really good evolutions..
