Okay, we got kids on here making 4 or 5 pointless threads a day, so is there any way there could be a thread limit for the basement/Brewster's at some point soon? Like, 1, maybe 2, a day?

Yea bcoz it's not like this is a forum or anything...

Back when I was on TV.com as the editor for Chowder (which had moderator privileges for the forum), I imposed a rule where you're you can only make one thread per day on the forum. Yeah, I think there should be a thread limit on Brewster's, but I hear that the mods are working on stricter rules to prevent spam.

*blows whistle*

Just report them. They can be closed.

No idea where you heard that.

If they're about different topics entirely, and another user could make them with the same responses, I don't see a problem. If they are obviously spamming for TBT, the that's when it should be stopped. (But, when it is spam, It is dealt with super quickly!)

Agreed :/ the numerous amount of threads just one person makes is irritating..but as zr338 mentioned, they can be reported and closed

I think a thread limit would be wise. We should be adding to other threads, not constantly making new ones. :)

just report them, i mean theres lots of kids on forum sites.
and the point of a forum is to discuss and interact with people- if you don't like the thread report it.

I agree. I've been seeing lots of "spam" threads that are pretty pointless in Brewster's.

But then there's those members that complain when you start bumping old threads. :/

I wouldn't say that there's threads that should be reported and closed, but they just seem pointless and unnecessary. Some people might talk in it, but I feel like most people will just wonder why would anybody want to talk about this.

The moment we start restricting appropriate content is the moment we define ourselves as a community, and definitions are the worst possible thing when it comes down to big communities like this.
