Time Traveling

Will you time travel in your island game?

I'm stuck at home, and yeah. Only day by day, but I really need it right now... I may tt back to the proper date once life is back to normal.

I'm not time travelling at all as it ruins the feeling of a deserted island for me. I really enjoy slowly progressing my island each day ^-^

Same thing for me! I enjoy going slow and not rushing everything.

ahhh, i'm trying really hard not to tt for this game. in new leaf, i tted the heck out of my game, but then i felt less motivated to play the game. however the urge to is strong since not everything is unlocked for me, and there's only a limited amount of things to do as of right now. hopefully i stay strong!!

Time traveling and getting all my dreamies ruined New Leaf for me so I made up my mind that I will take it slow in New Horizons so I could enjoy the game longer. I might go back in case I miss an event or holiday because of real life but other than that, I don’t want to time travel.

I time travelled ahead a couple of days on day 1 but I’ve been good and haven’t since then. I also bought turnips and don’t wanna risk rotting them so looks like this week will be much of the same c:

I took this weekend off from college work so I could enjoy the game properly which is probably why I felt like I wanted to experience as much as possible at first, but I’ve slowly found other things to fill my time like visiting friends and making designs. I love experiencing it day by day and I think the excitement goes stale after a while of TTing.

Nope, I won't. At least not in the beginning. I TTed a lot in NL but at some point it just got to the point where I was TTing to rush every single thing and it sucked the joy out of the game for me, cause it'd take like two real life days to have everything unlocked and then I was stuck with a bunch of villagers I hadn't interacted at all with yet and I was just like "ok...what now". I took a lot of pretty screenshots but the joy of the game wasn't there anymore for me.

Plus, I feel like this game's got enough to do. Fishing, bug catching and ranking up nook miles keeps it interesting enough for me. Waiting for the museum was terrible (I got my game on the 19th so I started a day earlier and have it now) but it was also kinda funny seeing all the critters parked outside, thinking I had a stupid amount already (which is somewhat true since I'm only missing like 4 or so available critters for this month) and then seeing them all in the museum and realizing it still looked very empty. Keeps the motivation up!

I've never liked the idea of time traveling. Yes, I'd like my museum open, because I have a huge pile of stuff to donate, but I can wait. To me, unlocking everything in a rush misses the point of the game, this one especially. There's no end goal or finish line in the AC series, and literally getting to start from scratch is something I don't want to hurry through.

So far the only thing I have done is set my clock in my switch to am instead of pm...I chose North America because that is where I am located but I mainly play from midnight to 7am which kind of stinks. I suppose you could say I time travelled already. I can't say for sure if I would manipulate time any more than this. As of right now I don't plan to, but that could change.

No. It's cheating, and I recognise the urge to cheat in games as a sign of boredom. The usual trend that follows cheating is renewed excitement for a while before ultimately feeling the experience was ruined and losing interest altogether. I've made that mistake with countless games in the past (including previous AC games!) and I've no desire to do it with this one. So if I think I've exhausted everything I can do that day I'll simply turn it off instead.

I have already done that. I may do it early on until I get more comfortable with the game, but after that, I’m going to play naturally.

I felt that they took away the need to time travel by having more stuff to do and expanding the seasons for each fish and insect. They also suppressed it a little (like making holidays available through updates only).

I'm sure I will eventually once I get off a normal playing schedule, but for now I'm taking it one day at a time.

I wasn't going to TT at first, but I decided to because I wanted the museum to be open sooner. Honestly I don't think I'll TT too often.

I've always TT'd but I've decided I'm not going to this time. Though kinda hard cause they REALLY drag things out in this game :V

I don't plan on time traveling in New Horizons. I time traveled way too much in NL and unlocked all the shops by time traveling and I later regretted it. I want to take it slow and unlock things day by day with real time. It feels more rewarding to me and I love waking up every morning having something to look forward to: seeing what will happen that day!

I only set the game back a few days and played to get back to the current date (today). Now I'm planning to play with out TTing but I wanted to binge the game the first day so I'm happy with my decision.

I time traveled like crazy, but now that I have the shops, Island Designer unlocked, and all my bridges and inclines so I don't have to use a ladder or vaulting pole in my town (it was fun at first but got old real fast), I've vowed not to time travel again.

I played new leaf without TT so this time around I plan on TTing until I'm able to unlock all the shops & island designer, after that I'll play natrually c:

Yeah, I do time travel, but only for a few days forward and then back, not any major jumps like 5 years into the future or something like that. I guess I'm just not able to play AC without time traveling, as impatient as I am...

I time traveled a bit for same/similar reason but I don't think I'll TT too often either.
