Hey guys

My first drawing tablet came last night, I had a bit of a play around with it today. I've been told to try to use it as often as I can even as a mouse

Navigating isn't too bad actually for me

So just wondering if anyone has any good tips for them

Thanks

Ooh I'm pretty new at it, but you should try drawing with it everyday, and then take 2 or 3 days off every month to just look at videos of your preferred style. If you have difficulty drawing right, try putting a piece of printer paper on the tablet and drawing that way. I also highly advise you to use medibang (an updated version of firealpaca) or paint tool sai for drawing.

Hmm. Everyone is different when getting used to digital art. It took me about 20 minutes to master looking at the screen. Just the more time you spend with it, the better you'll get (like any art). This may sound bad but you could try tracing stuff? Never EVER post something traced and claim as your own but it's 100% good practice to get the hang of things down. Like the above person said Sai or Medibang. I prefer Sai as it's much more easier to follow IMO. I don't the exact rules of the forum on link postings but I have a link to the Sai I downloaded for free if you ever need it. Anyhow good luck on your newest art endeavors!

thanks for your advice! OMG yes I would love a free Sai! If you wouldnt mind linking me thank you!

You just have to practice using it until it feels semi-natural, Lol. It takes time, but I'm sure soon you'll be accustomed to it.

I would suggest drawing on it each day, taking note of the pen pressure, and just playing around with it to see exactly how it works with your PC.
I've had my Wacom for 2 years, and I still get a little weirded out using it when I haven't for a while. >.<

Thanks, its the Wacom Intuos pen and touch- I read a few reviews and people said this was good for beginners. As I only started learning to draw on paper the other month
