I just found out about this theory a few days ago, and even though I'm not sure I believe it, it sounded like an interesting topic of discussion.
The theory basically states that JP Morgan devised a plan to swap the Titanic with her sister ship, the Olympic, and then wreck the ship on purpose to get insurance money. People think this is a possible theory because the two ships were nearly identical, and supposedly the ship looked different the day it set off compared to how it looked during construction. There is a bunch of other evidence as well, but it would take me forever to explain. But there are lots of articles and videos about this that go into better detail than I can.
I have seen good evidence from both sides of why this could be true or false. But I don't really believe in conspiracy theories, so I don't really know. I just thought it would be something interesting to talk about.
Do you believe this? Why, or why not?
