Nice idea, shame about the island that gets ruined in that moment. Not to mention how stressful it can be for the owner of such an island to keep an eye on everyone and everything, building up the whole thing, the time that gets invested etc.
I mean don't get me wrong, such islands are probably fun to explore and play with, but it's just not the same as having those typical mini-games like NL had. Besides, some people prefer to play mini-games on their own or aren't fans of such islands to begin with. And finding someone who has such an island and also wants to play with you at the same time can also become problematic.

Gosh, I miss hide and seek so much. Why are the villagers in NH so boring and lame now?

I didn't say that, nor do I believe they are. I love interacting with my villagers and I'd like to play more games with them.

I know that you didn't say that, I say it because imo the villagers became kinda boring and lame compared to NL. At least when it comes to activities besides talking. Like the whole thing with getting invited to come over to their houses or getting visit by them, the mini-games such as hide and seek etc. All this is (still) missing, which is disappointing. I also enjoy interacting with my villagers, I just wish we could do more with them.
