Kasai
My feet scraped the concrete as I slowly trailed back to the Kokina hono base after a long day of training myself.
I took off my wolf mask, concealing it under the large leather jacket I wore. People bumped into me as I tried to fit in, which was slightly difficult with my fiery red hair and leather get-up. I could feel the stares of humans burning into my back as I kept my head down and kept walking. Can't wait to get back to the base, away from everyone. I thought to myself.

Kashu was sitting on the floor at the Kōkina base. He fliped a coin that was blank on both sides, checking it everytime, as if expecting a result

Kasai
I looked up as I slowly neared the base, the crowd now gone.
The familiar sight of the huge, abandoned concrete building comforted me

Alee was just about to report in the information she had received on a ghoul that she was tracking, however, her cell phone rang and her superior had told her that the ghoul in particular had been spotted nearby, and that she should stay put where she was as they would send Ani as back up for the investigation, traveling alone when there was even the slightest chance of confronting a ghoul was not recommended, and Alee heeded this warning as she hung up her phone.

The petite girl quickly scurried over to a nearby light post, she was in the central of the city and had been just about to hitch a ride back to headquarters via taxi cab, yet since the plans had changed, now she would wait for Ani to arrive before she would even think about making a move, she gulped, her body trembling visibly as she waited for the other to arrive.

"T-the ghoul I've been tracking has been spotted in this area..? t-that's not fair, this is too dangerous.." Alee whispered to herself as she grew more anxious by each passing second, paranoia setting in as the brunette began checking around herself. staying close to the light post made her feel like a sitting suck, yet to the same point she felt safer near the road, in case of emergencies she could use her newly acquired quinque, yet she wasn't even relatively sure how to use it, she was a rookie investigator and would prefer if she wasn't spotted at all.

I kicked the door open and slowly strided in.
I gave anyone who dared to look at me what I hoped was a cold, intimidating glare.
My boots made loud footsteps as I slowly walked down the corridor into a room where I saw a ghoul sitting on the floor.
I stood up straight, my eyes ablaze as I spoke.
"Shouldn't you be training, not aimlessly flipping a stupid coin?!" I barked

Kashu flipped the coin again, then put it in his pocket.

"Have you ever been in a situation where the chance is 50/50?"

He adjusts his tie, then takes out the coin.

"This coin has one rule."

"Of course I've been in that situation." I replied impatiently.
I was about to leave, but I spun around and asked a question instead.
"What might that rule be?"

Kashu removes his hand and says "This coin is the kobayashi meru, also known as the no win situation. I am training. I am training for if I truly meet it, the kobayashi meru. "

"Imagine, you need to stop an enemy from murdering someone from our organization. They refuse to reason with you, and are clearly more powerful than you. You have no way of contacting others. If you stay and fight, you will die. If you leave, you fail. I want to be able to accept this may happen, so I use this." He holds up the coin, showing both sides.

Ani rushed as fast as she could to where she was told to go to - Alee was waiting and she couldn't possibly make her friend wait - it goes against nearly everything she stood for. Besides, she was told there was a dangerous ghoul and maybe she could've been swallowed whole already! No, Alee couldn't let that happen, she's strong, at least stronger than the white-haired girl was. She soon spotted the girl in the distance, beginning to excitedly wave at her and running faster despite the fact she was breathless. "Hey! H-hey! I'm here! I'm here! I'm sorry for taking so long, I wasn't prepared.." she huffed, resting against the lamp post. "Do you know what the ghoul is like..?" she asked casually, attempting to stand up straight.

"Oh, what I wouldn't do for a cup of tea right now.." The girl was comforted to know she was going to be fighting with Alee - they fought well together and their quinques complimented the other. When one of them was missing, it was as if the other was vulnerable to all if any ghouls. They'd only been partners for a short while, but Ani felt like she could trust her life to the girl.

I looked at the coin, then sighed, deciding to return the act.
"But you can barely call that training, now can you? I trained for hours today."
I state.
