With all these new possibilities for town customization, does anyone have any idea of their town plans? Little or big.

What type of out door hang out areas might you make?

Any themes, double themes?

At the moment I know that my character's name will be Tea, and the name of the town will be Oolong. My town theme might be derivative of that decisons, but I'll probably make it up as I go (though I tend to be a planner, so it would be nice to hear what everyone else is thinking they might do with their towns if they have any idea.)

(also if I end up getting another switch somewhere along the line, I've always wanted to do a ginger bread/Hansel and Gretal themed town, so that also might be on the table).

i have 3 different themes that i’m going to implement on my island but i’m not entirely sure what sort of areas i want to make yet lol

My theme will be a witchy theme, with forests and hints of fae! It always is haha, but now the possibilities are nearly endless! I'm very excited to gather mushrooms and make a faerie circle because I always do! :) And I'm going to make sure my house is in the north side of town because I love having lots of pine trees. (It would be awesome if we could have pine trees in the southern half now, but if we can't I will work around it.) I think I want the cabin exterior too, but maybe I will see the new options!

But even though we have all this freedom... I just don't have any ideas for outdoor furniture! It seems like we can put just about anything outside, but I am super stumped. I would like to put some gyroids outside for decoration for sure, but as for my yard and stuff I just don't know since it's such a new option! I'm sure the ideas will come as I play. :) I hope we're able to get the faerie in a bottle item again because I really liked it.

Oh yes, I have two ideas already but I need to start playing the game to decide which one. If my son will let me play a second game on his Switch then I might indulge in both my ideas. I have already started planning on paper :D

I cannot wait to see people's brilliant ideas/themes. I am so excited.

I have a vague idea. I want to split my town into parts.

for example, I'd have an area on second level with 2 villagers. they would have trees near them and it would have a mythical feel to it. I change my mind every 2 days so it could still change!

I don't really have a thwme but with all the stands I want to make a japanese summer festival thing :) That's all. No more plans for the moment. I will go with the flow!

I want to get a tropical/hawaiian feel for my island, very natural but also colorful. I really want this to be an island getaway with fun activities or rather interactions. But I also do want it to be a tropical town, I'll gladly use the landscaping tools however I feel like. I really have to work with what I got, but this random ACNL town I found on Google represents my idea somewhat (minus the stone path):

Just lots of flowers with a city feel. I really hope bushes reappear.

I'm going with a mix of natural and rustic. The areas where villagers are will be more rustic, but the areas in between will be more natural themed, almost like a nature path. I'm going to attempt to make it look like a valley as well.

I want a section just for villagers, and I want to turn one of my player houses into the Continental Hotel from the John Wick movies.

I want to recreate Wick's modern house, and build a cemetery, a park for dogs, and an elaborate fountain/paths at the back of the hotel.

The rest I'm still figuring out.

Not really going with too much of a theme aside from flowers/natural type of a village.

Planning on having a little open farmers market area where you can buy flowers, ice cream, treats, and fruit/veggies
I also want to have a large garden towards the back of my town in a field surrounded by the higher levels.
If I add my boyfriend into my game I'll create an outdoor spa area and then have his massage/personal training studio.
There will 100% be a area for star gazing too

Really want to use bright colors like yellow, orange, and pinks to make my town very vibrant and filled with light c:

I'm combining a lot of my different interests! An area around the shopping district will be a Mexican market hopefully there are items like sugar skulls, gold Aztec inspired furniture, a fresh fish stall to hone the theme in! I know we can place easels outside but i'm really hoping we can place shirt designs outside too. I would place a lot of Oaxacan inspired designs.
Another area will be my witch in the woods house probably secluded at the back of the island.
The last idea I have is an outdoor beach wedding ceremony. An arch, rose petals covering the sand, candles, ROMANCE.

Hoping to do something forest-like/natural with victorian, Halloween, and eerie vibes throughout.

I don't have many plans as of now, as I'm waiting to see what layout I'll ultimately be rolling with. No theme either; I do want my town to be kept as natural as possible, with plenty of trees, flowers, etc.

One thing I definitely want to create is a small neighborhood or two where each of the villagers will live closely with one another, decorated with things like lampposts, fountains, etc.

Aside from that, I'm 100% going all in on holiday decorating within my town, too!

I hope you'll share pictures, it sounds awesome!
I love the John Wick movies so it would be neat to see what you do!

I don't have any big plans so far. I think it will have somewhat of a garden theme, since I love flowers irl, and really enjoy breeding hybrids in AC.

Will do!
I'll have a mechanic shop too. :)

Transparent patterns means lots of blood spatter!

Man I realise how much more immersive the new Aika village and other horror towns may be with these transparent patterns alone :O

I never even thought about what horror towns would look like in this game. Exciting!

No plans. I like to wait until I get to see the options available to me, and then see what sparks inspiration.
