Trade Fish and Bugs?

I kind of hope not!
I feel like completing your encyclopaedia was one of the biggest achievements while playing animal crossing because of the fact you can’t trade fish/bugs.

I don’t think they would introduce that - it’s probably just for decoration.

I would love to complete it quickly as I love hanging around the museum, it find it soothing...but I love the challenge of completing it myself so I would prefer not to be able to trade fish and bugs...I know if we CAN trade them I would be tempted to just do that to get it done because I am weak lol

I doubt it, but that would be cool. I personally would get everything myself. But it would be nice for other people that may want to do this.

There's two options when selecting an item outside. "Drop" and "place". We probably can place the bugs/fish for display but not drop them as items for pickup by other players.

I hope not, and assume not. Players should have to find their own fish/bugs for their museums and catalog encyclopedia.

I'm on the fence about this one-- I like to complete things myself but the tarantulas and scorpions give me so much anxiety that I avoid catching them if possible. It's not a fear thing, I'm not scared of the bugs, but I just get a pit in my stomach when I see them especially when I don't have them added yet. I know how to catch them, I've done it hundreds of times, the response is just the same every time I see them. I wouldn't mind trading with someone for them if it adds to my encyclopedia and museum, but I also wouldn't mind doing it myself.

It's just a game though, and the worse that can happen is they teleport you to your house with no loss.

Yes, I am very aware this is just a game. However, I'm not in much control of what causes anxiety as a gut-reaction :)

My guess would be that you are unable to trade bugs and fish with others. The game will want you to fill in your museum on your own.

I agree.
It wouldn't go into the encyclopedia if you didn't catch it yourself.

Maybe they'll let us trade if we've caught that fish or bug before.

But then how would we drop them? that's the problem. just imagine dropping a shark on the ground or the bug running off lmao

They would probably be an item leaf, or dropped in a tank/container.

Um, John, it's called the Critterpedia; Encyclopedia is so New Leaf. Like the daddy tomato told the baby tomato when it fell behind, then proceeded to smash it...KETCHUP!

:)

I'm kinda half and half. If we could trade bugs and fish with other people I don't know if I would or not. I like completing the museum on my own, and since you play animal crossing for so long it doesn't really matter to me if it takes me a long time to complete it.

Yeah, I've seen Pulp Fiction too.

I call it the encyclopedia, as do the previous games, if I recall correctly.

I was also thinking about the tank/container too but thought the latter would be funny with a caution sign.

I would like it if they let us trade them for decoration purposes without it affecting our encyclopedias (unless we catch whatever it is ourselves).

I think that would be cool. If there's that one fish you just can't catch bc of your work schedule or whatever. I'll personally catch all my critters but I like the concept.

i personally hope not - i prefer to catch bugs and fish on my own aha
