Traveling back a few hours to get the Goliath beetle

Is it worth it or should I just wait till December? And how would I go about it. I can never stay up late to catch the bugs the way I used to and I haven’t time traveled before. I need some tips

You just turn off the internet time sync and change the time. If you are only going back a few hours nothing should be affected. You can turn on the time sync again after you finish.

As far as I’m aware there aren’t really any negative effects for time travelling yet, aside from rotting turnips. It’s completely your choice and if you feel like it’s worth it for the beetle then go ahead c:

No worries, nothing will happen! In New Leaf travelling too far into the future could make them move out by themselves, but in New Horizons they won't move unless you give them permission, so it should be fine.

I can never play that late at night I have a baby and he likes to wake up in the middle of the night still to eat. So I end up knocking out before I could catch that damn beetle. I’m having difficulties finding him
