Hey, can you guys help me decide if I should get Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu or Eevee when I get my switch? I'm about 90% sure I'm gonna buy it next week. Are the versions very different from each other? Both Pokemon are absolutely adorable in the trailers.
Other than the Pok?mon available in both games, they are no different to each other.
Pok?mon Available:
In the Pikachu version, you can get Oddish, Mankey, Growlithe, Sandshrew, Grimer, and Scyther from the wild. You can also trade Sandshrew and Grimer for the Alolan forms in the Pok?mon Center.
In the Eevee version, you can get Bellsprout, Meowth, Ekans, Koffing, Vulpix, and Pinsir from the wild. You can also trade Vulpix and Meowth for the Alolan forma in the Pok?mon Center.
Every other Pok?mon, you can get in both versions. You can even catch Pikachu in Let’s Go Eevee and Eevee in Let’s Go Pikachu. All Kantonian starters and legendaries are in both versions as well.
Tutor moves:
Only the partner Pok?mon can learn moves. Pikachu can learn three different moves (Zippy Zap, Floaty Fall, and Splishy Splash), which are somewhat an allusion to Volt Tackle, Surfing Pikachu, and Flying Pikachu. Eevee can learn eight different moves (Bouncy Bubble, Buzzy Buzz, Sizzly Slide, Glitzy Glow, Baddy Bad, Sappy Seed, Freezy Frost, and Sparkly Swirl), which are somewhat an allusion to the Eevolutions we all know.
Now if you were to decide what you want more, you have to choose between keeping Pok?mon more iconic or trying something unique.
