Yesterday was a busy day!

Firstly, I headed to the Town Hall to attend the ceremony for the opening of the fountain! Four people showed up apart from me and Isabelle - Beardo, Angus, Frobert and Gloria. I was happy to make a short speech about the project, and all the villagers seemed pleased with the pretty little fountain I had chosen. It looks really sweet right outside the Train Station.

I went to see what the Main Street shops had in stock, and ended up emptying them again! Oopsie! I guess it helps the shops get closer to upgrading though, so it's all good! I ordered a couple of things from the catalog that some people wanted, and then went back to town.

I went hunting for fossils and the breakable rock, then took my three fossils to an eager Blathers in the museum. He assessed the fossils, and told me that none of them needed donating. He then expressed his desire to buy them from me... But seemed quite upset when he explained he didn't had enough Bells to do so. I feel sorry for Blathers... He does his job so well, he's very professional but it's not like he gets any time off. I guess that's why he sleeps on the job...

I then went to Nook's Homes, and ordered a royal mailbox. I got my HHA score from Lyle. Lyle is an interesting but mysterious character. I can't quite work him out. He's enthusiastic, but doesn't always seem like he enjoys his job. Maybe he used to do something different, but then got sacked? I don't know, but I don't want to pry. I'll just leave him be.

After getting my low score, I went back to town to talk to my villagers. Cole is actually really friendly, and I can see him and I becoming fast friends. He's approachable and caring, and is always willing to lend a hand. He likes buying things from Re-Tail, and usually asks for my opinion on the things that are for sale. He's always smiling, which puts me in a good mood!

At 7pm, I went to the island to hunt for bugs and the occasional shark. I went on a couple of tours as well, before going home and selling the things I had caught. Afterwards, I headed back to the island, and did the same. I sold my stuff, and made a tidy sum of 800,000 Bells! I paid off my loan, and then went to relax by watering flowers, collecting shells and shaking trees. Luckily, I didn't get stung, and ended my day with a cliff-dive into the clear blue waters of Fairview.

Wednesday

Today I started off by going to see Tom Nook. He was pleased that I paid off my loan, and asked if I wanted to expand. I can't actually increase the size of either of my rooms anymore, so I chose to add another room. It's going to be at the back of my current house. I'm going to use it as a kitchen.

Then I went to the Post Office to send some mail and withdraw some Bells from the bank. I made my usual visit to Able Sisters, Leif's, T&T Mart and Kicks. I bought lots of stuff, then sold most to Reese. I went back home to sort out my furniture arrangements and add a new piece I had bought.

Afterwards, I went fossil hunting and found the site of Robin's new home! I'm so glad she's moving in - she seemed so nice whilst staying in the campsite! I've been asking around, and Marci said that she's met Robin before, and apparently she's friendly, but can be a bit overwhelming at first. I'm hoping that she'll grow accustomed to Fairview quickly, and will add new flavour to the town! Every villager brings something new, different and exciting!

Beardo asked me to buy his famous painting for 7,500 Bells. I paid up, and he gave me the painting... I took it to Blathers straight away to donate but it turned out to be a fake. I doubt Beardo know, but it's a bit of a bummer...

I'm planning on going to the island later, but for now I'm just talking to villagers whilst attempting to keep dry under my own-design umbrella!

Sounds as though you've been very busy! From your description of Fairview, I'm picturing a very lovely town.

Have fun with the rest of your chores/errands/puttering today and enjoy the holiday tomorrow (even if it isn't officially celebrated in the game)!

Wow! It seems you ARE busy with your town! I love Robin; she has a snooty personality, but overall she's really nice and I loved her in Wild World. I wish I could have her in New Leaf, but I'll have to wait and discover characters one by one! ;)
Good luck with your developing town of Fairview!
