Walking the Four Seasons
For my 1000th post (after over a decade of activity, finally), I wanted to draw attention to this great little Animal Crossing song composed, written and performed by Youtube artist MandoPony and featuring Emily Jones,
It's a duet performed by two individuals with very nice voices and heaps of talent(and the art in the video was done by a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic storyboard artist).
It is sung from the perspective of both the villager and Isabelle. Going into the villagers first days in town, meeting Isabelle, to growing weary of the daily activities and eventually leaving. It ends on a happy note, but as I was listening to it again for the 1000th time since it came out four years ago, I got to thinking: If you listen to the lyrics and think about the song from the context of our current situation, it becomes that much more emotionally charged.
The final verse of the song has the villager returning to town, reuniting with Isabelle after a seemingly large amount of time had passed, and that is currently what our trajectory is looking like right now leading up to E3: Our big reunion with Isabelle and the world of Animal Crossing.
