Like in new leaf I thought it's a good idea to exchange our turnip prices if they are high or you can buy them low.

In my town ypu can buy turnips today for 92 bells! :) Daisy Mae is a cutie.

There should definitely be a pinned thread for people (who are willing to take advantage of the Dodo code feature and have people sell on their island) to post their turnip prices every day.

I'm planning on putting all my bells into the stalk market, since that seems to be the only "quick" way to make a lot of bells.

Oh and my prices were 73 bells today. Yeesh!

My turnips were being bought for 160 Bells on Saturday, which sucked considering today's the first day I can even buy them, oof.

Yeah I'll try to keep you guys posted on buy price

I sold to someone's town a full inventory of turnips for 580 each! Slowly banking my way up...

Isn't that a horrible investment? You buy for between 50-150 and they sell for 50-150 so if you sold each stack for 580, that's only 58 per which is nearly as low as they can possibly sell for.

Or maybe I'm missing something?

I think you missed the "each" bit

? It's 580 per turnip... So you buy them for 50-150. And you sell them for 580, that's up to like, 5 times the price. That's an amazing investment.

Everything I have seen has stated that they will only sell between 50 and 150. This is the first case I have heard of so far with them selling above 150, let alone 500+.

EDIT: I could be completely wrong though, I have little knowledge of the game and only picked it up a couple days ago. Only going off random little tid bits I find online.

My turnips are selling for 94 bells. I heard it's a good investment if they're under 100 bells, so I bought 100 turnips to give it a go.

I'm kinda bad at turnip selling, I always end up forgetting to sell them!

daisy mae is selling for 101 bells each.
personally, i don't really like to make bells in this way. it's kind of a risky business lol i prefer to hunt fish and insects.
since it's above 100 bells, i don't think i'll be investing in that. maybe if i visit a town that's selling for way less than that.

turnips were selling for 95 today which isn’t too bad! I bought about 42k worth so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for good prices c:

Typically you can expect to see them between 50 and 150, however it can spike above 500+. There are a few guides online about Turnip Price selling patterns, and how you can predict the range in which your town will be offering prices back! Prices update twice daily, in the AM and PM.

As a quick summary, and assuming that its the same as previous titles...

  • Decreasing Pattern - The worst of them all. You can tell if you are in this pattern when the first selling price (Monday AM) starts below 100, and the prices decrease by 4-10 bells consistently every half day.
  • Random Pattern - Prices randomly increase and decrease, keeping in the 50~200 range. You can tell you are in this pattern if your prices decrease and increase at uneven increments. Sell the first time you see a price above your buy-price in this pattern, as it is expected only twice it will go above 110.
  • Small Spike - Features a decreasing pattern throughout the week, but then there will be four consecutive price increases, with the fourth being the highest. After this, there will be one small decrease in price, and then the prices will crash below 110.
  • Giant Spike - Also follows the decreasing patterns, but then there are three increasing prices, with the third being a LARGE amount above 250-300. Followed by two decreasing prices, and then a crash.

So you probably ask yourself... how do I know if it is a small spike, a giant spike, or a decreasing pattern? Because of the "ramp up" and "ramp down" time, the latest a spike pattern starts is Thursday PM. If there are no increases by this point, you should find another person's town or sell at a loss.

You can tell if there is a random pattern if there is a decrease, followed by an increase, followed by a decrease; as there is no "ramp up" period, so long as there is no consecutive pattern, it is the random pattern.

Please use the Official Turnip Prices Thread that is stickied in the ACNH: Airport section for posting your turnip prices!

If you would like to make a thread for general discussion on turnips and the stalk market (eg. price patterns, tips, etc.) please make a new thread with that topic. It seems from the OP that this is a dupe thread of the stickied one, so I will close this now.
