• Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.

Uhhhh... Nintendo?

you know.. .
if everyone on here put there 1,000 bells together..
we would have tons of bells! haha

it's not that big a deal, guys...

I mean, we've gotten a shamrock hat and a black DSi just recently after everyone *censored.4.1* about the US not getting any DLC

I mean, 1000 bells is kinda skimpy, but we'll probably get something nice sooner or later

What'd you expect to get for Tax Day anyway? Who cares it's Tax Day, we're lucky we don't even have to pay taxes yet. (Not speaking for everyone)

Yeah. Nintendo deserve a little rest. They are responsible for Animal Crossing as a whole anyway, aren't they?

I quit playing Nintendo's game. I'll just wait until the good stuff arrives.

Tax day is finally here! And for once I care! I usually have my taxes done well in advance of Tax Day, so all April 15th usually means to me is that I might want to avoid going to the post office. But this year was different. This year Nintendo had promised us all NEW DLC in America!!

I logged on with glee to TBT shortly after midnight eastern time. I would have to wait several hours for my own DLC to arrive, but at least I could hear what it was from others online. Soon I had my answer... Bita announced that it was 1,000 bells. What the?!?! No, surely Bita was just having a little fun at my expense. I'd just have to wait and get it myself.

So. Yeah. I got it all right. 1,000 bells, just as she had said. I shut off my Wii without saving... Resetti would be visiting me in the morning. Whatever.

I mean, I don't mean to sound ungrateful or anything, but really? To call this DLC, when it isn't an item of any sort?? So today I composed a little letter. I just wish Animal Crossing would actually allow you to send messages to Nintendo. It still felt good to write...

but i wouldnt be writing to nintendo, cause of they can do stupid crap like this, and we dont appreciate it, they can do even more stupid crap, and stop giving us dlc all together... if were that unapreciated about it.
(btw: i dont think unapreciated is a word lol)
Yeah.... It's unappreciated.... not unapreciated

BUD!!! Ok that is officially the coolest letter I've ever seen Nintendo send out. I mean, wow, to get something other than a stock form letter is, by itself, surprising. But hell to the YEAH to the condescending tone of the email they sent back.

Seriously, I'm still laughing about this one. You are officially my new hero.

Well, it's better than nothing.

Let's hope we get some items next time I guess.

<small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small>You guys are actually complaining abut this? IT'S A GAME FOR GOD'S SAKES.</small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small>

I don't actually recall Nintendo ever calling this delivery downloadable content, same goes for all other deliveries.

Nintendo doesn't actually clarify that ALL deliveries on the City Folk hub are new items. That alone should have been enough set people up for the possibility(and possible disappointment) that you won't always get a new item(or an item at all for that matter)

I expected this from the very beginning.
