Welp, as a British person I think that the UK is kinda worried about you. Like America needs to literally chill. It's okay I suppose, your government is pretty messed up (That's not even talking about the recent presidential candidates) and overall we think you are a lil but crazy. We thought that we made a stupid decision with Brexit, but that doesn't even compare. Good luck to you all! We are glad we don't live there! (But hey I'll come visit sometime and bring over some tea for you all)

america is better than most but it's been a v sad year

i agree to the second power

I'm not voting because I'm American but I'm proud to be from here, even if I wouldn't have voted for our president-elect.

The title of this thread made me actually laugh out loud.

I live in America. It's okay. Lots of room for improvement but not the worst. Fingers crossed our president elect doesn't screw it up. Pretty sure he will, but that's a story for another day.

also, we are the second greatest beer-making nation on Earth, so we've got that going for us...

Who said they appreciate our culture? Like... we don't have culture. Are you talking about hamburgers and hotdogs, cause that's like all we got. And those aren't even just American things...

I don't know...I think that may be one of the things that makes America pretty cool...American culture is influenced by Asian, African, Native American, Latin cultures..etc..the US is racially and ethnically diverse which is the reason America is called the "melting pot"...anyway..one thing I have noticed that in asian cultures they tend to be very patriarchal..the wives are still looked at as subordinate to their husbands and the man works while the woman stays home, cleans, cooks and take care of the children. Single mothers are looked down upon and in China they call women who aren't married by at least 30 "left over women"...I can say that in the US the days of the woman staying at home while the big strong man works is an outdated concept to most..and girls are taught that they can do anything and be anything they want...I mean look at Barbie...she was a model, teacher, lawyer, babysitter, doctor, gymnast, astronaut, ballerina...even through playing with a doll, it was low key planting the seeds in our minds that we can be anything we wanted to be..I really thought all places were like that until I started learning more about other countries and societies..
