Does anyone have any useless talents? I’m talking things you can do but aren’t particularly helpful or useful in any way but it’s still cool.

I actually memorize the entire keyboard. I know that’s not difficult because it’s only 26 letters (unless you’re including that semi-colon… then it’s 27). I do not see this as being particularly useful, but it definitely helps with typing on my phone because I can do it quickly, for a mobile device anyway. That’s the main one I can think of for myself.

Also, I’m very flexible and can bend my fingers in weird positions. I can dislocate it and pop it back into place. I could do this for years, lol. I don’t do it too much, though, because it grosses people out.

Do you have any useless talents?

i can burp on command and make my tongue stick to itself if i fold the front part back lol

I can roll my tounge and also make a clover shape with my tongue, which I consider useless because I don't think I'll next need to use it. Kind of cool though

I was just about to post this exact same thing...so I'll go with my backup.

I can mimic sounds pretty well. My dripping tap is usually a crowd pleaser...and I can mimic some birds well enough to get people to look up.

I can do pretty decent voice impressions of Zelda characters, which is a little useless because it's mainly just sounds and not words. I mostly do BotW since there's voice-acting in the game. I've said things like "Revali's Gale is now ready" and "Mipha's Grace is ready" (and even the little "yahaha"-s from the koroks) far too many times to count, haha. I used to be able to do a killer voice impression of Peter and Lois Griffin from Family Guy as well.

I can memorize just about any story I hear or read. If you tell me a tidbit or story about yourself I can probably recall it years later. It’s allowed me to enjoy several books and games at a time without losing track of my progress. It also lets me remember useless trivia about everyone I interact with. Sadly the skill doesn’t work as well with practical memorization. I usually have to put extra effort to remember things like foreign language vocabulary. It also leads to me remembering negative experiences for an unhealthy amount of time.

I can't roll my tongue and I actually consider that a talent because literally everyone else I know can lol

Similar to your Croconaw I feel comfortable bending the joints of my arms/legs in ways that make people ask "how is that comfortable??" when I have my hands on my hip or cross my legs. (eg for arms instead of having my arm and hand facing forward when I have my hand on my hip my hand is flipped inwards and backwards so my wrist is facing outward, people will try to replicate it but can't. similar odd angles for my legs when sitting on the floor)

But I'm not actually flexible, it's just my joints. For whatever reason it's often more comfortable for me that way.

I can touch my nose with my tongue, a friend said that I have a long tongue apparently

I can open a bag of chips (or crisps for my British friends) all neatly, like those unsealed bags look in the commercials.
I don't know how I'm the only one in my household able to do that, but somehow, I can.

I can memorize facts about subjects that no one else has any interest for (I can answer all kinds of questions about the band dinosaur jr and recite their entire discography, for example)
when it comes to subjects that are actually useful though, my brain deactivates and I visit another world!

I'm also pretty good at things involving spatial awareness

I have a few I guess, some slightly more gross so I'll bob them in a spoiler.

I am very good with accents, but I can't do impressions, unless it's of things which make silly noises, or talk 'weird', kinda like Sweep, from Sooty and Sweep.

I can do, or I like to think I can do a pretty good impression of Shakira, and Cher singing :D

I also know the opening monologue to Fame, and Elizabeth's monologue in Pirates of the Carribean: At Worlds End. I also know a lot of Cutler Becketts lines from the same film :'D

I can burp the alphabet and I can pop my right hip slightly, not out of the socket, but kinda click it :'D

Hoo boy. I have a lot of those so let me write a little list.
  • I can whistle while sticking out my tongue
  • I can wiggle/move my ears, also individually
  • I once knew several comedian scripts by heart and could speak along the entire show. The same goes for song lyrics or movie scripts. If it catches my interest, I can effortlessly memorize it all. This unfortunately only seems to work for the most useless pieces of script. When it comes to the stuff I have to memorise for class or birth dates I’m hopeless.
  • I can make decent Stitch and Yoshi voice impressions.
  • My fingers are really flexible and I can bend them into weird positions
  • Can burp on command

None of these are helpful for anything at all and I wish I could swap them for useful talents 😂

I’d actually consider this quite useful tbh. There was a time I tried to learn how to do that but got frustrated and gave up.
