I'm glad the creative events are finally getting broken up into different categories. I hope that traditional and digital art will get split off eventually.
I also hope that the staff can pick favorites for both basic arts and advanced arts. Like for the lineart-coloring events, they should pick a favorite non-gradient digital piece and a favorite gradient digital piece.

I mean, "trans" covers all of that. Sorry if you had to deal with crunch but it still feels really tone deaf given Trump's on his fourth anti-trans executive order and all recognition of us has been wiped from the state department website, including shortening "LGBTQI+" to "LGB" wherever mentioned.
Intersex in particular doesn't fall under trans, but you're right that a lot of the others do - I'm just largely in circles where the specific subtypes are a bit more common, so for me it feels particularly weird to not have included them. And likely that's just a me problem, and that I overthought it too much!

If people don't mind the lack of the other gender identities, I'll probably make trans and intersex variants when I get the chance (that might not be until Monday, though)!

While I am somewhat aware of the things that are happening in the US, I'm Canadian and working 2 jobs at the moment -- so I'm probably not keeping up with news as much as I should be on that front. I do want to reassure everyone that it's not intentional malice or exclusion, so much as "Mistreil is missing a lot of context for what's happening in the world and didn't really think things through enough because they're sort of constantly tired."

I've always found Intersex a hard one to place 'cause I know some intersex people do consider themselves inherently trans, some who don't like the association but still consider themselves queer in some way, and some who don't feel they should be included with LGBTQ+ people at all. I guess it's more an individual thing so I try to not speak on it as much.

But no hard feelings, was just sad to see transness excluded in any context again in the span of like, 3 weeks that Bozo's been the president?

Anyway uhhh valentine's day

Just bought four of those mystery hearts. So the way you get currency is by other people reacting to your posts with the new reaction?

And also by sending the Valentine reaction, too! 😊💌
You'll earn Heart Dust by sending or receiving the Valentine reaction on posts.

Well, I think everything here looks sweet. Thanks staff for all the artistic work and organization you put into these little events 🥰
Pink and red for February is in general seen associated with love, both platonic and romantic. Did you know Greek has individual words for different types of love? There are quite a few.

° ἔρως Eros: is physical love or sexual desire. Eros is the type of love that involves passion, lust, and/or romance.
° ϕιλία Philia: is affectionate love. Philia is the type of love that involves friendship.
° ἀγάπη Agape: is often defined as unconditional, sacrificial love. Agape is the kind of love that is felt by a person willing to do anything for another, including sacrificing themselves, without expecting anything in return. Philosophically, agape has also been defined as the selfless love that a person feels for strangers and humanity as a whole.
° στοργή Storge: is familial love. Storge is the natural love that family members have for one another.
° μανία Mania: is obsessive love. Mania is the kind of “love” that a stalker feels toward their victim.

I'm still trying to read all of the threads, but it looks like this will be a lot of fun! I think the sweets baking will be my favorite! Happy Valentine's week everyone. Hope you all have a fun time!

I have so many sweets ideas bouncing in my head and I don't know which one to pick.
