Ver.2.0 Tunnel Vision.

With Ver.2.0 soon-to-be live, the anticipation is reaching its fever pitch. There are enough new features and content being made available for the next island over, so it may be tough to single-out any one thing, and that's all well and good. However, is there any one specific thing you are absolutely looking forward to most ?

In my case, I can safely say with absolute certainty: being able to use the Retro pattern provided by Sable, shown in the following image, in order to wear as a tee.

As it stands, i won't be counting any other chickens before they hatch, because i'll have all i need, so long as i can once more don the chick tee.

How about you ?

All I can think about is the new crops. So much I can do with them in terms of designing. Not to mention cooking food items for the aesthetics in my house.

I can't even concentrate on anything else in my everyday life, not anime and coding (two things I absolutely LOVE doing) because all I can think about is the new Animal Crossing update. It's taking over.....

The one thing I'm looking forward to the most is being able to finally customize the Nook Items. Being color locked is stifling for the creative.

I have so much I can’t wait for in the new update, but if I had single out one of them, I guess it would be the new villagers being introduced. I especially love Ione and I’m gonna do my best to look for them for my new island.

LADDERS. I’ve been longing for placeable ladders to make my island more navigable since release, but I never imagined they’d add them in after the fact. I’m not an especially loud person, but when they showed that we can now affix ladders to cliff sides, I yelled “whaaaaat?!” No more carrying my ladder everywhere I go!

Using Sable's patterns as shirts and wallpapers felt so small at first, but the more I think about it the more excited I get. I REALLY like some of these patterns and it'd be nice to use them elsewhere. I'm glad they put that feature in.

But I agree with HappyTails - the smaller thing that I'm most excited about of all is customizing NookMiles furniture and other furniture sold in Nook's Cranny that you can't normally customize. Not only will it fix the problem of making it so difficult to collect all of the color options, but it almost means you don't need to hoard non-reorderable items just on the off-chance that you will want it later. For example, I have at least 1 of all of the colors of vending machines sitting around in my storage just in case I want it to use. Now I don't have to hoard them. I can order a vending machine with Nook Miles when I need it, and then just have Cyrus customize it to a different color if I want one that isn't my island color.

Not sure if you were already aware of this, but there's actually a chick tee available at Able Sisters.

As for me, I'm really looking forward to hangin' with Brewster and collecting all the cool new gyroids (potentially for Brewster to display at The Roost).

Same I have wanted Ladders for so long. There are places on my island that an incline just won’t work so getting the ladders is amazing.

Actually i am very much looking for the town ordinances too, just to help me go to bed early and wake up even earlier so i can play a bit before going to work. So ill probably go for early bird ordinance, just to see i can change my sleeping schedule to a more healthy one or one i would prefer to have. Early nights, earlier days
