Ver.2.0 Tunnel Vision.

All the new plants, including of course the crops, but also those vines, the plumeria bushes and little glowing…fiddlesticks? I’m hoping there’ll be even more to discover on the mysterious islands, and I honestly can’t wait!

The thing I'm most excited for is the farming and cooking. I love video game food. The update could have been just the farming and cooking, and I would have been super happy about it. Everything else is also exciting, but the cooking is my favorite part of it by a huge margin. ^o^;>

Actually i am very much looking for the town ordinances too, just to help me go to bed early and wake up even earlier so i can play a bit before going to work. So ill probably go for early bird ordinance, just to see i can change my sleeping schedule to a more healthy one or one i would prefer to have. Early nights, earlier days ✌🏼
I’m hardly ever up early enough to enjoy it, but the 7AM music is well worth getting up early to play for!

I'm really excited for the new crops and cooking, being able to use designs as wallpaper and you can wear as well. I'm curious about Kappn' and what the new mystery islands will look like and what is new to offer and I'm hoping for new fruit trees or even maybe new fish, bugs, sea creatures, and fossils. I'm also curious if we can find Villagers on these new islands as well? Gyroids and the way you can make them different colors.

I honestly can't pick. I feel like so many people are like, "Oh, ____ is the most exciting for me, for SURE!" but I'm like, "COOKING! No, wait... THE DLC! But, then... THE NEW FURNITURE! Oh crud, what about... GYROIDS!"
But top things for me:
-Gyroids
-Farming/Cooking
-New/returning furniture
-New decorating options with the DLC (like, it's basically turning into Sims, and I can't even stand it)

I honestly cannot pick just one, by the time I'd be able to narrow it down to one single thing, I'm guessing the update will already be released 😂

I am looking forward to Kapp'n being back and taking you on adventures to other islands that's something I really really missed from New Leaf and did not think would ever come back. I am hoping you can bring friends along with you on the adventure. I am also really keen for Harvey's campsite stalls. That is something I am going to try get done as soon as I can.

my tunnel vision is always focused in on whatever i remembered most recently, honestly. the main thought in my head is generally crops and cooking, of course, but i think the DLC is just about beating it out for my excitement levels! i'm so excited to just fly over to 'work' and decorate some houses!!

There's no single thing that I'm most excited about, but I will say I was specifically avoiding watching the trailer because I knew what my reaction would be. Namely: "Whoops, there goes my homework, my grades, and my degree!" I've been having trouble balancing work, school, and personal time since this semester started. I wasn't too worried about New Horizons being a distraction before, since I lost interest several months ago. However...this DLC is in a league of its own. Being an adult sucks because all of a sudden you don't have time for the things you enjoy anymore. I'm going to make time for this content, but it'll definitely result in a poor sleep schedule at least.

I can't wait to get gyroids. I used to love them a lot back then but didn't really use them. But the overhaul they received now is incredible and I can't wait to put them literally everywhere on my island and houses.

I see so many people restarting their islands just to get all of the new stuff, but I am surprised that they didn't think about losing all of their hard earned bells, cataloged furniture and DIYS. As someone who has restarted so many times on the 2nd switch I refuse to even do that, because I know how long and tideous it is to get through all that tutorial nonsense. For me I am just going to get items that fit well with my personality on both my islands. It doesn't have to be a theme that I am going for, because unlike most people I prefer it to be simple and straight to the point.

Although I don't know which feature I'm most excited for, I think the "Polish" feature is a bit overlooked at the moment and I want to know more about it:

We've seen at least 4 different side-effects of polishing furniture, that being "star" sparkles (on the Garden Wagon), "circle" sparkles (on the new sign furniture), butterflies flying (on the new flower items) and hearts flying (on the new toy items). Are there more effects? Are these exclusive to interior decorating? Can I polish the furniture of my neighbors (or are they able to do that themselves)? How long do they last?

I don't know, it seems the kind of "silly but charming" activity that made me fall in love with Animal Crossing, so I'm looking forward to do the best animation on the game.

I think if I asked myself about tunnel visioning every single day until the content releases, I'd come out with a different answer at this point. That being said, Gyroids are pretty up-there. The first (and last) AC game that I played before NH was the GCN version, and the Gyroids were quite a childhood favourite of mine. They were fantastically weird, and I'm glad to have them back in HD and with all of the customization to boot. I do however hope that there are some traditional looking Gyroids as well. Crops/cooking, Brewster and island tours are also an obvious choice here too.

The simple addition of pillars and real partitions are also to note. The ugliest thing on my island right now is by far the inside of my own house, simply because the larger rooms just don't feel right due to the lack of things like pillars and partitions to give the rooms the unique feel that I'm looking for. This is especially true for the main room, the basement, and the upstairs room due to their size.
