Ok I know I made a thread only 10 minutes ago-ish but I was looking through the villager pictures and saw Merry (who I used to think was a major 'eh' villager) and she looks so good! Her face and shirt have both changed, and look so much better!

Merry’s outfit is adorable. All the villagers look so much more polished and I’m excited to see how the elements interact with them (like her tail moving slightly in the wind or ears bopping when walking).

She’s a major cutie for sure! I always really liked her face, but I’m not a fan of villagers with “hair” (unless it can pass for fur or matches their color scheme)

Still, I was thinking the same thing when I saw that pic. I think it might be one of the cutest actually :3

Merry is probably one of the only villagers that I think got a good significant glow up. I’m still upset about Lobo’s change. I even preferred the old Jambette haha :’) maybe we can use this thread to compile the other glow up comparisons for villager changes.

I looked him up, but can’t see a difference right now. Am I missing something really obvious?

She looks absolutely adorable in that pic, but in some of the photos it look like some villagers have different facial expressions since every photo is unique. Are we sure she doesn't just look like this in her portrait?

I hope they changed her too, I'm just not sure if they actually did.

Some of his markings are simplified and feel more rounded. He also has a purple-ish colour now.
I don't totally dislike it, I think all the wolf designs are quite nice. I don't think it looks bad just lacks character compared to the original :')

Not sure how I feel about this. She's definitely super cute and adorable... but I loved Merry the way she was, kind of goofy and upbeat. She is one of my favorites, so hope she didn't change too much. Although this cute version is nice too, just doesn't seem like her.

Edit: The more I look at it, the more it seems like she gives you a baby picture, which would be a very Merry thing to do.
