Started up my spare and I got Tangy, Lobo, Velma, Moose, and Gala.

edit:/I can reset here and there to try to get a good villager to trade for either Fauna or Zucker, let me know. Fauna's my favorite and I can't seem to find her available anywhere. ;-;

When I was resetting towns, I saw Fauna once, I'm sure you'll eventually get her

Octopi dont show up as starter villagers, im fairly certain..

I think they do. You always start with the following: A snooty, peppy, cranky, jock, lazy, or normal. Since you start with 5, you won't get 1 of those, but you will get 1 of each of the rest.

No, theres certain villagers (as in previous games) that can only be obtained by moving in, regardless of if they are one of the personalities
Octopi are some of these, and they have been in every previous game..
