I only have 6 mil from my spare town...and that's my life savings too. My only safe bet is Ankha but every time someone offers to trade for her, they drop it. And all 3 promised Marshal... I feel so upset now.

You could try selling anyone who tries to leave on gamefaqs? People usually pay more than you'd imagine for some characters.
I have.. ~13m or so from selling a villager that I'd spend on Marshal.. I feel bad because I know everyone else wants him.. if there is going to be an auction I may as well try to make it fair and share how to get bells towards him. ._.
