Like I said- you CANNOT wrap the stack of fruit! If you do, they'll take the whole stack. If it's unwrapped, they'll just take one, and you'll have a full inventory when they try to give you back a gift.

I think you can technically just gift them a wrapped stack of fruit and possibly get them back, but IIRC, you have a higher chance of a pic through the mail.

Yah, I went back and edited it because a lot of people miss that part- almost every other gifting method involves wrapping (and I definitely recommend giving wrapped gifts until their relationship is high, but it sounds like Tank's is) so it's not necessarily obvious!

I've been giving my villagers wrapped gifts from the list on Island Guide on my phone of what they'd like periodically, and I got my first photo from Bluebear by chance. I've been hardly talking to them as I've been busy recently, but since new year I've been giving them gifts, and I got it. Friendship does help a lot, but I guess it's also down to chance too?

If you're doing the full inventory stack trick, a pumpkin would work. They sell for 350 each and requirement to have a photo mailed to you is a gift that sells for 250+

I think that’s when you give them a wrapped gift, rather than the stack method.

I had the best luck with hanging terrriums, tried the fruit but never got 1 with the terrtriums got all 10 in little over 2 weeks.

It took me a while to get photos too. I orginally did the give them a wrapped non native fruit everyday(was told coconuts didn't count but maybe they changed that). It does take a while to build the friendship up high enough. This method worked for a while and then nothing. I wanted Beau's pic before I let him move but he kept asking to move so I let him go. Only after did I find out they had changed the ways to get a villager pic(wrapped fruit no longer worked). They eventually changed this back. So I still do this until they reach high enough friendship and then I switch to the stacked fruit/full inventory method. It works for me. Even with that it still took me ages to get pics for Roald,Walt and Raymond. Currently working on Stitches and he already asked to leave once so I know the friendship is pretty high lol. One thing to keep in mind is that if you give them furniture they may put it out in their house so if you don't want them doing that stick to fruit. Good luck!

I'm literally having the same problem with my starter jock ( I think there's a random aspect to when the villagers give you their photos even if you are at the best friend level (although im not sure lol)

I just got Diana ‘s photo in person today! Following both methods of wrapping paper and stacking fruits method works both for me , so far I have got these beautiful villagers photos

I gift them wrapped fruit till am pretty sure they r at a high enough level, then they get added to my give everyone a stacked fruit each day chore. Have gotten all but 1 or 2 of my photos from them in the mail this way. I have at least 2 photos of each of my villagers

Awesome! I didn’t know that you can get 2 photos each of villagers, is it possible?

I don’t know when we get the photos. I have 3 photos about Bob, Marshal and Lucky. I got Lucky’s Photo in a giveaway on the forum. Marshal’s Photo was my first time that I got the Photo, it was super exciting, I gave a lot of gifts to him, but not everyday. Bob’s Photo was strange to get, because he moved very early and already gave me the photo, like I gave him three gifts (it was very uncommon). My first villager is Katt, she is still In my island and she doesn’t gave me her photo. Marshal and Bob aren’t my starters and I have his photos. I actually think that You have to be best friend of the villager, but I also think that is random, I am not so sure

you can keep getting pics from the same villager, its just it will be a certain amount of time till they will gift the photo again. my longest villagers whitney, audie and chief I have at least 9 photos of each
