Reese and Cyrus again. They just celebrated their anniversary last year, but they were already married. They’re going to do it again this year, and every year after that.

Like others have said, its their anniversary, not wedding, that we photograph. I also think it would be awesome if we could photograph another happy couple (like CJ and Flick!) but I doubt that will ever happen.
That was an anniversary actually. They were already married according to their in game dialogue.

So basically what you're telling me is all those photos we took last year was all for nothing and we have to do it again this year? Its official this game is stuck in a time loop where everything is repeating each other.
Considering this is an Animal Crossing game, that sounds about right. At least in NH we get some new wedding items even if Reese and Cyrus don’t give them to us.

Well I would at least want to see them acknowledge that they are finally married and they would be interested in wanting to setup a shop on our island called the "Re-Tail" shop just like in New Leaf. Maybe that is just wishful thinking, but it bothers me how this event is going to be repeated despite the fact that we've already did take their photos last year. I am all for the new wedding items but still.
Wedding day is an actual holiday in June (for Japan) I believe. At least, that's what Phantasy Star Online has led me to believe. Because every June the servers would update to be all wedding like and there would be some special quests you could undergo to find special cakes and whatever.
Can you imagine being Cyrus? Having to dedicate an entire month to picture day? If I was Cyrus, I would plan a fishing trip every June.
You don't have to do the event if you don't want to. I don't plan on doing it, except for maybe some of the new items.

I only do it just to get that new Wedding item. I mean I already got most of the wedding items from last year so I would just get those new items just because its they are "new"
I'm missing an arch and I can definitely use more chairs and benches juuust in case, so I'm probably going to do it again.
I wonder if the event is still being weird about my other characters. The second one I made last year didn't get a single request for chic/garden variations the entire month.

You don't need to do the event to get the new Nuptial set.
You can get them via Seasonal Items.

So wait you don't need to trade heart crystals like last year just to get them?
Doesn't seem like it! The screenshots show the set as being orderable from the seasonal section of the Nook Shopping Tab
