Magical Girl
Here's some doodles I drew in pencil then painted with water colors! (The brush that came with the water paints was hard to maneuver but, I tried my best! Also one drawing I didn't do in pencil and freely painted!)
Thank you!Nice! What water colours are you using? Yeah those little set brushes are hard to use huh >__<
I like Daler Rowney brushes, a little expensive, don't know if they still do the series I use, but they're a red handle with orange hair, very nice little brushes for watercolor and indian ink both.
Aw, your Pokemon art is super cute! I especially like the one you did of Dhelmise. c:
your art is very cute! i love your sig too, Glitter Force ( aka Smile Cure ) is one of my favorite shows!
Omg!!! That raichu under the rainbow made me smile!!!
I know everybody else in this thread is telling you to buy better paints, but I honestly really like crayola watercolor. It's completely fine to use simple, cheap stuff for making art, as long as it makes you happy! One of the stupidest things I've ever done was years ago- when I was FIRST picking up a pencil to make art- I spent a ton of money on prismacolor and other big brands that I really didn't need. Now I'm broke and thinking about every dollar I've ever spent, lol.
If you wanna upgrade, lemme give you one tip- NEVER buy those cake watercolors without a brand name on them from hobby lobby or michaels- the ones with the clear plastic top- those watercolors are HORRIBLE. They dry out extremely quickly, and they're not worth the money.
Honestly, crayola watercolor is pretty quality stuff. At multiple high school art classes and workshops I've attended, the instructor had a supply of crayola watercolor because it's the best bang for it's buck, if you're not a pro whose job is to paint. The next step after crayola paints if you wanna experiment would be getting either tube watercolors that you pour out, mix with water, then apply to your canvas, or get some watercolor pencils, that you first draw with, then add water to! Honestly, watercolor pencils are really fun, and they can add a lot of variety to a piece.

Your art is soooooooooo cute!!! ;w; Omg!! The dedenne one is my favorite!!!
And yeah, I agree with continuing to use crayola. It's fun to experiment with cheaper stuff! Even though it's not the best, it works, and it definitely looks nice in your art. :3 Sometimes you can make the best stuff without spending much at all~
QWQ I only suggest decent starter/beginner products where they can buy paints, brushes and a sketchbook for under 20$. I even still use those sketchbooks after doing watercolors for 2 years now.
I've heard Crayola color pencils are pretty legit though, should Definitely get adds a lovely texture to drawings with watercolor, I use them alot for brushes/ shading of the skin
