Oh tho i buried it again and did the same thign turned out nothign diffrent. Ill do this again. with a diffrent fossil that is.

Yes its about time someone noticed this!! The silver items in the game give you more luck than the golden ones!!!! The silver sligshot helped me find mario items more recently than the golden sligshot...the silver shovel got me more money from rocks!

You do it BEFORE you dig it up.

Correct. But again, it doesn't ALWAYS work.

So you only do this if you haven't already dug the fossil up? I see (from the first page of posts) that this only happens to fossils that have been buried in the beach. What else have you got? Has anyone tried this with a Golden Watering Can (because that's what I have), are there any special effects of the Golden Watering Can versus the Silver Watering Can?

You should start compiling theories in your first post and have some people start forming experiments =P
