So I’ve noticed these past couple of days that the weather in-game isn’t syncing with the local forecast. I’m in the Southern Hemisphere and haven’t time travelled.

Maybe it’s just some kind of a glitch? Minor annoyance but it isn’t too bad.

is it supposed to sync? lol
i live in brazil and it's been raining for the past 2 days in my town but my island is always sunny
i thought the weather was random (?)

 its suppose to sync?? I never knew that! I mean, i thought a few times it was coincidental but then again there were times it was sunny when IRL it was raining.. If this is a feature thats really cool!

Animal Crossing has never synced with real life local weather. It feels like they programmed certain aspects into the weather, like traditionally the probability of rain seems higher than usual in the first half of June in AC games (don't know if NH is the same) - why? Because the first half-ish of June is rainy season on Japan.

But other than specifically programmed things, it's all up to the randomness of the game.

I hope it isn't synced because it never rains irl and I haven't had a wet day in NH yet :(

I think it just syncs in terms of the seasons... I'm not sure. It doesn't rain a ton where I live, but it has been raining multiple times a day on my island :')

The game... cant sync to local weather it doesn't ask for your GPS location.
Its randomized. The only way to know the next days weather it to watch it on the tv when it pops up; forget when it is programmed to do this.

Doubt it syncs. :p It does increase or decrease probabilities of weather during seasons (mostly Japan like wet season in June - July and heavy snowfall around early winter)

The weather's never really been in-sync with the local forecast of the player's location in AC as a whole. It was raining during the afternoon in-game yesterday, yet it was still rather sunny in rl at the time.

The Northern/Southern Hemisphere option is only about syncing the order of seasons (and their respective creatures) to your regional location in rl to better match each other.

The Switch doesn't have GPS capabilities, so you must have just had coincidentally accurate weather for the first few days.

I'm pretty sure it's not meant to sync. Animal crossing has never synced before. Also, imagine how much it'd suck if you lived somewhere that rarely rained. You'd have such a difficult time catching certain bugs and fish.

Thanks for your replies. I could have sworn that the initial presentation video said the game syncs with real-time weather.

EDIT: Upon checking it just said that the island changes with time and weather conditions. My bad.
