Have you guys noticed that clum of weeds are changing colour? It’s my first time for me seeing this

Yep! The weeds change with the seasons. I think that's a nice feature.

Ooh, good observation! I've noticed them change colours and appearance before in other seasons but hadn't noticed them change in winter yet.

Yeah they change with each season as Foreverfox said, I was a bit confused when I first started cause I had a friend who helped me out who had a Southern Hemisphere island, and his weeds were different and I couldn't figure why, and then when mine changed for summer I figured it out :'D

the new weeds look great, way better than the previous variation! :> I wish we could stunt the growth of them at different stages..

I wish we could stop weeds from spreading like we can with flowers (ie: using clear custom paths). I really liked plopping a couple random weeds on my beach, I thought they looked nice. But the little buggers kept spreading like crazy! I tried using my clear custom path that stops my flowers from going bonkers, but alas. The weeds are too powerful. Covered-in-weeds beach isn't as pretty as just-a-couple-weeds beach. ):

Mine changed yesterday into full yellow flowers.

So nice to see, as it takes a bit of the focus off the horrid snow.

It means Spring is near.
The snow should be disappearing soon and reveal the dead grass underneath. The grass will turn green on March 10th if I remember correctly.

I noticed this morning, I really like the look of them!

Weeds are totally not useless in this AC installment. You can craft with them, pluck them and plant them elsewhere for added aesthetic/decorations, and they look really nice in forested areas. It's nice that they change appearances and colors as the seasons change. They feel much more alive and look so natural, unlike the previous games where they are a nuisance and rather unappealing. Their sole purpose was just another chore for you to do (if you cared about keeping your town tidy, at least).

I just wish that four-leaf clovers were still a thing, but that's a discussion for another time.
